Right now Twitter is all atwitter about a typo in a tweet of President Trump’s. I think it’s definitely one I could make, so I have refrained from joining the pile up.

I mean it has only been a few days since the whole Individual-1 thing. So much crime. So, so much.

    Truth is LE agencies have been jizzing with ecstasy over all the “see something, say something” bullshit in trailerracist Murica since 911. Gives them all kinds of statistics to justify staffing/overtime abuses. And often provides credible PC for detentions, warrantless forcible entry, and warrantless searches. “See something, say something” is nothing more than a publicity campaign to create a permissive atmosphere for police fishing expeditions. This deputy certainly knew she had no probable cause to do more than a brief and friendly door knock inquiry. But a decade and a half of drum beat nonsense has her and her supervisors holding out hope for finding a joint or a pill. They quite deliberately escalate these encounters for that reason.

    “See something, say something” does not make us safer. It absolutely has put a huge percentage of us at risk of violent death. Community outreach programs that encourage this kind of false reporting are to blame. LE agencies that engage in these kinds of outreach programs should be held civilly liable. And their taxpayers should pay. That’s the only way they’ll stop.

    @2 The underlying problem is union contracts that shield cops from consequences for violating citizens’ rights. Knowing they can do it with impunity, they do it. And if the aggrieved citizen wins a lawsuit, it comes out of the taxpayers’ pockets. This system needs to change, or cop behavior won’t change.

    Early Saturday morning, in a Lynnwood bar with no history of racial violence, a black DJ was roughed up by some white guys yelling racial slurs. Apparently they’re not locals. One of them is a nationally known skinhead from the Philadelphia area who has previously been involved in hate crimes. Yes, he was seen at Charlottesville, too.

    All the LE agencies need is a phone call with just enough detail (but not too much) and they have a license to stop and frisk (officer safety) and if possible escalate. They are trained in techniques specifically directed toward escalating non-consensual encounters to obtain probable cause for further, more invasive search and coercive inquiry. That is a fact. It is considered good police practice.

    Public outreach programs that appoint every racist, FOXNews addicted, home bound, diabetic ulcer farm to be a junior space ranger auxiliary detective play right into this shit. Dispatch operators who credulously encourage this crap end up arming police with the loaded gun. Believe me, in places like Seattle they don’t do it.

    I’m skeptical about how much her cooperation will be worth. For sure it leads to Erickson and to some extent Broidy*. How much she can spill on Broidy will be the key. But Erickson is a pathetic creature. And if her cooperation gives them Erickson he may well flip too.

    The SDNY case is moving rapidly into the Trump Org. And now the DC case is moving into the NRA and the RNC.
    It’s going to be very hard to maintain a functional JDA to control all of that. That always seems to be the way of conspiracies. Kept small enough to contain, they are seldom sufficiently lucrative to obtain the leverage needed for containment. And when expanded enough to be that lucrative, they are almost never contained.

    Conspiracy to defraud the US government is an actual crime. And one that it appears both Mr. Manafucked and Mr. Safety School, Esq. (among others) have committed. And at least by implication based on the public filings, it appears that individual 1 has also engaged in conspiracy to defraud the US government.

    But conspiring to defraud officials of the federal government and its agencies is one thing. Conspiring to defraud 63 million mouth breathing beer drunk racist trailerbillies into believing that the zombie corpse of Vince Foster, reanimated in a baby cannibal pizza dungeon sacrifice ritual, was programmed by aerosol LSD sprayed from USDA airplanes to murder Seth Rich for the buttery males is another thing altogether. That last bit is actually not a crime. It may be comedy gold. It may be a millstone around the necks of American klownsurvaturds for generations to come. But not an actual crime.
