    * Recognize so-called ride-sharing services offered by platforms including Uber.

    Puffy here is some information for you on the ACA tax Revenue, that will help pay for the cost of the ACA. This doesn’t include any revenue from premiums that many of the newly insured will pay, not everyone is getting free healthcare, as you have stated. This is all forecasted, as is obviuosly the numbers of the newly insured are stated.
    Your figure of $50,000 per person (newly insured) is over 10 years, equivalent to $5,000 per year.

    I really think you should re look at what you linked to the other day to see if the stated cost of $50,000 was the cost without the revenue side figured in.

    It looks to me that quite a lot of revenue is being generated through taxes, fees and premiums to more than offset $5,000 per year. But I am a little skeptical of the cost of $5,000 to insure an individual for one year. But assume that on average $250/month is a premium for all the newly insured, that is revenue of $3000, more than half of the $5000 cost you state, less any tax revenue.And we all know that some are paying much higher premiums than $250/month, but again some are payin $0.

    The report linked hear is not clear to me, maybe it can be more clairified by others here.

    That number doesn’t include the insurance premiums and out-of-pocket health care costs paid by Americans – only the government’s role in implementing the law and paying for its guarantees.

    From the very first comment that I made with regard to your original comment made yesterday, I first began by not disputing that the ACA could cost more than originally stated.

    But I very much question the figures being used. I will read the other article again. But I know that a healthcare plan being offered to me through my employer costs my employer $10,000 (single). And presently only approximately 10M are covvered under ACA. So that cost is approximately $100B, without any tax revenu and premiums factored into it. All I’m saying I have a little difficult time believing the numbers presented in the daily mail article, especially when they conviently left out the premimum side of offsetting the cost. And they state that it will cost the government $145B annually (right from the article). So that number to me seems higher than it really is stated without tax revenue and premium money.

    Is it possible that the Healthcare providers are qauging and making tons of money on the plans? Is it possible, that I as a employee of a private employer costs less in policy?

    What is the cost of taking care of the uninsured?

    @28. Thanks, but there are holes all over the place on my part and the on the part of the article Puffy linked to. The article doesn’t go into the specifics to validate what it is saying. The article talks about $140B annual cost (not including premium revenue), and I think they are using a figure of 30 million people or insured, that equates to the $5000 per insured as a deficit, minus premiums and co pays and deductibles. But if you assume average premium is $500 per month for the 30 million people that equates to $5000, which covers the deficit.

    So as I said from the beginning I don’t doubt that maybe the ACA may contribute to a deficit, but it wasn’t outlined correctly in my opinion.

    Was it 10m people, 20m, or 30 m people, which presently don’t exist.

    A better analysis would be to compare what a private employer pays for an individual or family and compare it to what the exchanges are charging for similar plans to determine if health providers are taking advantage of the government and also provide better details on the revenue if the taxes and the premiums.

    Hell a $20 copayment for one doctor visit generates 600m from 30m people,

    Also, as I asked, what is the cost of what the uninsured are costing the American taxpayer? It’s not $0, otherwise why are any of us insured?

    The Pajhwok Afghan News reported the Taliban captured Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) leader Mullah Abdul Rauf Khadim along with 45 supporters. The United States detained Khadim at Guantanamo Bay, but released him to Afghanistan in 2007.
