The circumstances of the case appear to be as follows. The dead kid was believed to have participated in a homicide the day before. The cops staked out his home, and when he left the house, pulled over a vehicle and detained him and others for questioning but at that point lacked either an arrest warrant or probable cause. The kid broke and ran, and a cop — not the cop who was chasing him — shot him in the back of the head, then later claimed he believed the kid turned toward him and reached for a gun. The video unequivocally makes a lie of those claims.
What we have here is a dead Latino youth who probably was involved in gang activity, whom the police specifically feared might be armed and violent, and who did something very stupid. Plus a trigger-happy cop who had no reasonable justification to use deadly force. But this case lacks the racial overtones typical of such cases: The dead youth is Hispanic, but so is the cop who killed him.
Two million bucks, maybe three. The cop wasn’t disciplined and is still on the force. Whatever the justification, or lack thereof, for this shooting may be, lying should be a firing offense in police work. Liars shouldn’t be cops, period. My position on this has been consistent all along.

To the extent it is, that’s because there are a lot of internet platforms where anybody can post anything without any editorial oversight. But nothing prevents Zuck from exercising editorial oversight on his platform. He certainly an afford to hire editors and moderators. If he gives hate speech free reign on Facebook, it’s reasonable to infer the greedy bastard does it because spreading lies and falsehoods is profitable. It always has been, but countless other media companies refused to stoop to what he does anyway.

If the Capital Police had strictly followed the specifics of procedure and the rule of law, a lot of these Republican idiots would be full of bullet holes right now.
Lethal force is authorized in the course of the defense of Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facilities, what is called a SCIF. There is no caveat, nor any exemption in this Law. Every manual for the Defense Department and State Department has this specifically spelled out in no uncertain terms. These are highly sensitive investigations that include possible highly classified military and diplomatic secrets. If a buck Private or a four-star General in the Army gets caught recording or transmitting information from a SCIF, he or she could be legally shot on the spot. There are specific rules about photographing weapons storage or communications facilities or even the basic act of delivering a transmitter into such a facility.
That rule is, NO. No means fucking NO goddammit.
Hell, they prosecuted and convicted a contractor’s employee back in 2012 for taking photographs of the interior of a submarine under repair at Newport News and all that dumbfuck was doing was taking those pictures for personal bragging rights. I think that moron got 12 years or so in the Federal Penitentiary and as far as I know he is still there.
That’s how serious the Republican invasion of that hearing is. This wasn’t just some smoke-filled meeting room in the basement, this is formal investigation of several deliberate acts of what could possibly be considered Treason on the part of members of the executive branch. At the very least, the President is using the fact of the office he now holds to cover up his now obvious lifelong history of felonious criminal activities. It isn’t just about the money he made, it’s about how he handles information and how he conducts himself with his personal business dealings while in office. When someone is going to incredible lengths to hide information and the basic fact of communications with foreign government officials from the State Department and the Military, there is a pretty serious reason for concern.
Under the Constitution, sitting Legislators in either house cannot be arrested while Congress is in session. But that does not preclude an arrest taking place once Congress has gone into recess and I’m not sure that it covers someone in any position of authority making specific, deliberate attempts to compromise the goings-on within a secure facility. Prior to the story above, about a year prior, my sister was visiting me. She and a few of her girlfriends came up for the weekend and stayed with me. We went out with one of their friends who also lived in NYC (Bronx). We went to the Russian Samovar, right next to where I first lived my first two years living in NYC.
Anyways we were a little lit from being out at other places first. But in this Russian bar something was going on. There was a party of like 10 people that were being catered to and the center of attention of the patrons and the staff/owner of the joint. We sat adjacent to them. They spoke Russian so we couldn’t always understand what was going on. One of the Russian guys was the center of attention of the party itself, it was a big celebration with about 4 very good looking modelish women (Whores). Hunt — a Democrat — introduced a bill in May that would criminalize calling someone a “bitch” in an insulting manner.
The act states:
