    And I say require bicyclists to have legible license plates and liability insurance. I’m okay with the ordinance of limited scope and purpose that lets them go through red lights that require a vehicle to trigger the green IF there is NO traffic or pedestrians in the way. I’m NOT okay with giving them a general exemption from stop signs or red lights, which I understand is not being proposed, or allowing them to go barreling through pedestrian crosswalks. In other words, no automatic right-of-way preference for bicyclists. They should be subject to the same rules of the road as everyone else, and should take their turn in traffic, like everyone else.

Workers in VW-TN voted against representation and yet the parent company, which has a very different relationship with unions in its homeland, is still bringing in a union-affiliated advisory entity.
