    Bothell teacher lied about being assaulted at school, police say

    It will be up to prosecutors to determine what charges Pygott will face for making up the story.

    Students and staff were shaken up after the alleged assault. Classes were canceled for one day as a precaution.

    “It was challenging, but it was an anomaly. This is not anything that is normal in the life of a school. From the beginning, it was odd, it was strange, it was difficult. But we worked through it,” said Bothell High School principal Bob Stewart.

    The district said Pygott is now on paid administrative leave for the time being.

    I’m really curious why a teacher who perpetrated a hoax and distrupted his entire school @ 1 is still drawing a salary. I suppose it might have to do with the contract his union has with the school district.

    Maybe when schools stop being newsworthy for the wrong reasons, major urban newspapers will have less to cover. Just a thought.

    Haven’t read the story posted @1 – due to time constraints, but eventually I might get around to it.

    But looks like it was very news worth for Boob to take the time to bring it up. And if the guy/gal lost their job for making false claim so be it. Not like any heterosexual ever making some false claim. Like being assaulted at the Olympics…..I’m sure tons of examples can be given….

    Like the awesome privilege to pay for eight years of higher education, work a half year for free, to be ushered into the sweet, sweeeeet life of earning about half as much as their peers to spend all day listening to your 13-year-olds make fart noises in classrooms built over a century ago, holding weekend car washes to pay for classroom supplies, drinking lead laced water, breathing asbestos, and being told by the administration to “put on a sweater” on the 77 days each year that the heat is out while they spread their soul destroying virus of cultural Marxism to bring REAL MURIKAN White European Judeo-Xtian capitalism to its knees.

    Those clever bastards. White “conservative” Real Muikans have just got to figure out some way to rein in those awesome super teacher powers.

    Eight years of higher education to become a teacher?

    Hell, why not make it 10 or 12, to account for the few who spent six years as undergrads then decided they needed to earn both MAs and MSWs, before realizing the only way they could feed themselves was to spend a couple more years training for a lifetime municipal job from which they would be really, really unlikely to be dismissed?

    ’cause if you’re going to embellish, might as well go to the extreme.

    embellish nothing. Once again, you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. Not a year goes by that well meaning legislators don’t hold hearings concerning public teacher credentialing and the educational requirements. In addition to a Masters to obtain a continuing cert, there are many summer terms and evening classes devoted to ongoing ed and subject matter certs. In the end it works out to another four years beyond undergrad.

    None of which changes the absurdity of your underlying claim, that somehow these hapless unmotivated mouth breathing AMC Pacer driving Costco baloney eating shiftless slackers have magically super duper gamed the system to their benefit. Such amaaaaaaaazes benefits!
    What makes this most special of all is that idiots like you actually believe this.
