I don’t think that getting out of the Iran deal, without a plan going forward, is working out. I can’t wait for the news that they’re 6 months from building a bomb like we heard throughout the Bush and Obama years until the deal was adopted.

    Roger Rabbit Commentary: I’m curious why Barr thinks Trump can get around a Supreme Court ruling by issuing a “memorandum to the Commerce Department instructing it” to defy the ruling. His legal theory justifying that should be quite fascinating.

    There’s a hint of what he’s thinking: “Barr said he has been in regular contact with Trump over the issue. ‘I agree with him that the Supreme Court decision was wrong,’ said Barr.” (same link)

    Normally, a party to adversarial proceedings doesn’t get to overrule the court if he disagrees with a ruling. In most cases I’m familiar with this approach results, at minimum, in Rule 11 sanctions. And that’s if the judge is in a good mood.
