    Gee, Bush was the one who drew down the U.S. forces in Afganistan to support his venture into Iraq. Then he seemed surprised at the Taliban resurgence. He only started sending troops back into Afganistan when it became obvious the Republicans were in deep election trouble. By the time of Obama’s inaugeration, the situation in Afganistan was getting bad very fast.

    Talk about an inherited war, Obama’s sure got the short end of that stick. You can be sure that Cynical, Marvin, Puddy, etc. are going to criticize him no matter what he does.

    But having just seen Frost/Nixon on DVD Sunday night, I had to laugh at Cynical’s statement that “OBAMA’s procrastination on this shows a lack of leadership. Send more troops and fight to win!!” It seems he’s echoing Richard Nixon in those interviews.
