No more NRA tv. What a sad. Now who will launder Russian money? Now who will mock victims of school shootings? Who will spread false narratives about the 2nd Amendment? There’s still a lot of wingnut welfare out there, but now there’s a bit less.

On balance, while it’s good fun to criticize GOP incompetence, laziness, and inefficiency, we should probably count developments like these as good things under present circumstances.
It generally leaves agency career staff and senior bureaucrats spinning their wheels without specific guidance from the administration. And while TrumPatriot media grifters will be able to sell this to the RubeMob as “drainin’ teh swamp”, in fact it leaves the party paralyzed at a time when they might otherwise be advancing a klownsurvaturd agenda.
This is their White DudeBro revolution. And other than border RapeCamps filled with Sobbing Guatemalan Toddlers, and a big tax cut for ATT and Warren Buffet, their voters walk away with nothing to show for it.
Remember that a big part of the crazy talk during the transition and in early 2017 about “a pivot” was purely aspirational on the part of so-called “moderate” GOP voters. Having won control of the White House and both chambers of Congress and with a 5-4 “conservative” majority on the Supreme Court they were looking forward to four years of sweeping change.
But the signs were always there right from the beginning. The collapse of the transition team in late 2016, the inability of the “beachhead teams” to do much other than steal office furnishings, and the long and still unbroken string of failed appointments were strong indicators that the GOP could never deliver on any revolution, or really even on a modest agenda of change. Like most Trump projects the whole thing was over leveraged from the beginning and running on fumes from the starting gun.
We should be happy and take heart. Were the GOP a little less incompetent we might be witnessing a progressive blood bath. Instead the GOP, in spite of having every conceivable advantage going in, are losing just about everywhere. As White House incumbents, they are launching a re-election campaign without a press sec, with few confirmed cabinet secs, and with an administration filled with empty chairs. Aside from president child-rape, their messaging effort falls onto the backs of Conway, Giuliani, and Hannity.
Trump is clearly tireless in his capacity to create spectacle and draw attention to himself. But he has little talent when it comes to articulating any vision for making people’s lives better other than MAGA. The slogan has grown tired in four years. And it may take more than that to persuade swing voters. But the campaigns ability to deliver more than that appears to have been lost for good.
They are doing a lot of our work for us. We should thank them.

Roger Rabbit spews:
@12 Uranium One, hahaha. Keep milking that cow for all she’s worth, dumbfuck. Maybe she’ll squirt some buttermilk for you.
“The Uranium One controversy is a theory accusing Bill Clinton, The Clinton Foundation, Hillary Clinton, the Obama administration, high level officials in Russia, the State Department, Uranium One, and the FBI of allegedly compromising national-security interests, bribery, and suppressing evidence. All parties denied the accusations, and no evidence of wrongdoing has been found after four years of allegations, an FBI investigation, a House Intelligence Committee inquiry, and the 2017 appointment of a Federal Attorney to evaluate the investigation.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uranium_One#Alleged_controversy
The House Intelligence Committee inquiry, one might add, occurred at a time when the GOP had a House majority, the committee was chaired by a Republican, and the investigation was run by the Republicans.
The controversy, if you can call it that, arose from the fact that while the Uranium One transaction was a private sale, it required U.S. government regulatory approval by multiple federal agencies. The notion that Clinton personally controlled the decisions of all those agencies is preposterous on its face.
But that doesn’t stop credulous fools like Doctor Dumbfuck from swallowing already-debunked conspiracy theories whole. Because that’s what dumbfucks do. It’s why they’re dumbfucks, deserving of a category of their own, instead of merely another form of intellectually challenged ignoramuses.

Beat that, crazy, racist church-lady.
Appointed incumbent McSally comes across very much like a lot of military combat leaders, largely accustomed to leading with charisma and enormous self-confidence, periodically punctuated with flashes of temper. After losing to Sinema last year she immediately set about throwing her entire 2018 campaign staff under the bus. And recently she’s doing the same thing to her 2020 campaign staff. When she isn’t trashing the Arizona GOP for her own shortcomings she’s lovingly bathing Trump’s nutsack with her tongue (if she can manage to shove Teh Dumbfuck out of the way).
Since Kelly pulled even with her last month she’s veered into full panic mode. And for good reason. Kelly’s record of accomplishment as well as his identity and familiarity with Arizona voters puts loser asshat McSally at considerable disadvantage in places like Maricopa County. And McSally’s embrace of Trumpism and BabyRape has done her no favors, either.
Naval Aviators like Kelly do everything Air Force Pilots do. But then they have to land safely on a narrow greasy strip of metal pitching up and down in a rain storm in the dark. And astronauts like Kelly fly higher and faster.

June 24 PM, Trump orders 300 children returned to Clint, TX Baby Rape Jail
June 25 AM, GOP complains that CBP running out of money for Baby Rape Jails
June 25 PM, House Democrats pass funding bill for CBP Baby Rape Jails, but include amendments requiring no more baby rape
June 26 AM, Trump promises he will veto

This is what at least one future Trump voter looks like, although he won’t be old enough to vote until the President-for-Life runs for a third term in 2024, and even then may have to clear a felony from his record before he can vote; but it won’t really matter, because by then we’ll have a one-party government and single-candidate elections anyway.
P.S., It sure looks a whole lot like the school district is going to end up paying a big settlement in this case.

January 2017, Donald sworn in, Jeff Sessions sworn in as AG
A year after the election was over and nearly a year the Donald administration has taken over, Donald’s AG sends a letter demanding the re-opening of an investigation of his political rival in what could very easily be interpreted as a means to distract from Donald’s own Russia scandal.
After revelations that Donald’s own son not only emailed how much he would “LOVE IT” if foreign agents could pass on stolen information (a crime) during the campaign, Donald’s own son has a meeting with Russian agents who have been indicted in the plot to deliver stolen information to the Donald campaign. (A Crime)
Some time later an officer of Donald’s justice department is asked under oath if AG Sessions wrote such a letter. The official either genuinely did not know and and testified “No” to facts he/she was unaware OR he/she committed perjury.
Now come to find out that nearly a year after the investigation, and in the middle of very damaging revelations about Donald and his Family and their ties to Russian attempts to influence the election….AG Sessions (by order of Donald?) demands the Justice Department re-open a closed investigation.
“Case closed, no collusion, move on.”
Wow, what a dumbfuck! He thinks this is a terrible story for the wrong people. The ones who won’t be running for office again.

Roger Rabbit spews:
Not surprisingly, the 5 rightwing justices of the Supreme Court have upheld partisan gerrymandering. Or, more precisely, they’ve ruled that skewing a state’s congressional representation in undemocratic ways is a “political question” that federal judges can’t interfere with, because that would be an undue expansion of judicial power.
But remember, this cuts both ways. If Republicans can do it, so can Democrats. What’s permissible for the goose is also permissible for the gander. Which brings us back to the Roger Rabbit Redistricting Plan.
Under this Plan, Washington’s congressional districts will be divided into 10 horizontal stripes, from west to east, varying in thickness so their populations are approximately equal, and the borders don’t need to be perfectly straight lines; they can wiggle a little bit so that every district has a majority of Democratic voters. And, of course, a majority of Western Washington voters.
Is it fair? No, of course not; it’s not designed to be fair. It’s designed to do to Republicans what Republicans do to Democrats. It’s fighting fire with fire. If Republicans can grab 80% of the seats in states with Democratic voter majorities, then we can do the same thing to them. It’s perfectly legal and constitutional. The Supreme Court just said so.
Roger Rabbit spews:
In a complicated decision, the Supreme Court has ruled the Commerce Department can include a citizenship question on the census, but threw out the Trump administration’s attempt to do so, finding its justification “contrived.” The Trumpists will now have to scramble to put a citizenship question in the 2020 census, and they certainly will be sued if they do so, therefore it’s unlikely there will be a citizenship question for the 2020 census.
RedReformed spews:
@29. Will that work in Oregon and California also?
Elijah Dominic McDotcom spews:
31,
Yes. California could be reduced from seven to no more than two or three.
Like Washington, Oregon could be reduced to zero.
Why this is important is because as this ruling takes hold and significantly narrows the lane for redistricting challenges, in many parts of the United States where Child Molesters have majorities in state houses, Congressional district lines will be redrawn and consequently will create increased polarization.
In a district that is designed to be consistently one party, in a state with a closed primary system, the winner of that party primary will be the de facto winner. Candidates competing in the majority party primary will be driven by circumstance to focus their messaging, and their policy positions on those most appealing to the party primary voters. These are the least moderate of partisan voters in any party. Consequently the elected members will increasingly reflect the least moderate positions and messaging of their party.
This is a pretty obvious and entirely accurate model of the transformation that has taken place in Republican politics in the last thirty years. Owing to the progress of that transformation, and now this ruling, that transformation will accelerate. The GOP suicide caucus will come to dominate the House minority and gain increasing influence in the Senate. Any narrow Democratic majorities in the House and Senate will be perpetually beset by crazy unhinged SHITDOWNS.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@31 I can’t think of any reason why it wouldn’t given a demographic distribution similar to ours.
In Washington, every county east of the Cascades has a roughly 2-to-1 GOP majority, while in most of western Washington the Democrats have an approximately 3-to-2 edge. In addition, Washington’s population is concentrated in the western counties, with only about 22% of its residents living in eastern Washington.
So, if every congressional district is a strip between the state’s west and east borders, so that for example Spokane is in the same district as downtown Seattle, the Democrats would have a voting majority in every district, with the possible exception of maybe one district on the southern fringe bordering Oregon.

Watching the second Democratic debate tonight, it occurred to me the difference between the two parties can be summed up in one word, to wit: What Democrats have, that Republicans lack, is decency.
