    @4 I think Mayor Pete is more likely than Beto to come out of the 2020 race as a strong future contender. Yeah, I can see Beto in the Senate (but in Texas??) or cabinet (but which department?), but so far he doesn’t look like the Democrats’ next Obama to me.

    Undoubtedly this is Biden’s and Sanders’ last race. Warren is in that age group, too. After watching several of the debates, I’m inclined to think the Democrats’ next young rising star — its next JFK or Obama — is just as likely to come from outside this year’s field as from within it. There’s nobody in this field that really knocks my socks off, but I’m sure there’s plenty of dynamic young blood out there we haven’t heard from yet.
