Including pointing out that there is no way to short or otherwise hedge because “IN THE HISTORY OF AUTO LOAN ABS THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A DEFAULT,” (their all-caps, not mine).
Remember, as with mortgage ABS, it’s the entire economic sector that stands to suffer, not just the buyers of these derivatives.
