    Rightwing foghorn Ben Shapiro challenged Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to a debate. Her answer:

    “Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions. And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one.”

    Good for her.

    Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is being smart. Never show up to a battle of wits unarmed. It’s a good example of self-preservation on her part.

    @2 @3 Ocasio-Cortez is going to Congress, Shapiro will always be a nobody. Running up the score against a defeated opponent is unkind and unsportsmanlike.

    By now I suppose that everybody and his dog knows (well, actually, I haven’t asked my dog) that the New York Times has hired, and defended, one Sarah Jeong, an avowedly racist, sexist, mouthy, and apparently kinky twitess as tech writer. “Kinky” is the polite term for people who enjoy cruelty. Which, she says, she does. Anyhow, among her eructations:
