    Perhaps the fact that there are now multiple investigations (all approved and supervised by Roypublican Trump appointees) may be taken as some evidence that there are multiple unrelated criminal conspiracies.

    There’s still very little chance that Donald Trump will face any legal peril in all this. But it will probably doom his party’s political prospects for years, if not decades.     I don’t think Cohen will give up the big boss. But it is an interesting question in relation to a guy like PornFucker whose orientation to history seems to have fossilized at Studio 54 in the 70s.

    Federal racketeering convictions aren’t like they were back in those days. One of the big reasons that old, and nationally connected Italian/Jewish/Irish mobs were weakened and broken up was the changes in mandatory sentencing for related financial crimes. Once guys started facing decades in prison omerta broke down and the proliferation of cooperating witnesses meant that organizations had to be kept much smaller.

    At 52 he’d be hitting his stride as a successful (albeit criminal) hustler.     I stated it plainly several times that once the IG report was published if it revealed wrongdoing by McCabe he had to be punished.

    He lied about authorizing the release of information about the FBI reopening of the investigation into Clinton’s emails. It’s pretty clear he didn’t have the kind of authorization to release that to the media that the manual calls for. And probably more important he lied about it under oath after the fact.

    He lost his job, some of his benefits, and he might face criminal indictment for it.

    Meanwhile, ChildMolesters in Congress needed less than 24 hrs to leak the DOJ memos. And Nunes will give his staff a PeeHooker weekend in Paris as a reward.
