I got stuck in the San Francisco airport back in the mid-80s due to a plane that had collapsed front landing gear or something like that, for about half a day. Being young and kinda stupid, I made the mistake of going into the little bar at the top of the tunnel that led to my boarding gate. I had a little drinky-poo that was kinda tasty, so I had another one. Got the munchies so I went to one of the food stands and had a burger, that was kinda tasty. Then I went back to my gate and talked to the nice lady about the flight that I was supposed to be on that was eventually canceled, so I went back to the bar and had another drinky-poo. I didn’t have anywhere else to go, so I had another drinky-poo. I think I was up to five White Russians by that point and wham.
I’m kinda sensitive to booze, so I didn’t realize how drunk I’d become until I got up off the barstool and tried to walk back to the gate. Stumbled down there, drunker’n hell, sat in one of the little chairs and tried to doze off. The flight was eventually ready to board and the nice lady came to wake me up, and I woke up still drunker than hell . I didn’t get back to Sea-Tac until something like one in the morning and good god I was still wasted. The flight attendants were very sympathetic so they kept feeding me coffee for the whole flight and making jokes every time they walked by my seat.
I shoulda gotten her number.
Never again. I will never fly drunk again. Never, never, never. That little bar was making their drinks way too damn strong.
So apparently Fat Donny’s base know he’s lying. They go along with his lies, and choose to believe those words rather than admit that lies are actually false statements that are specifically intended to deceive people, but perhaps only certain people so his deceptions are intended to be opposite of his real meanings and they can surmise his real intentions out of those false statements. He’s actually being honest in his prevarications because his base knows he’s lying, because he is such a brilliant man that he doesn’t need to use factual information when he issues a statement.
All one needs to do to believe that he must be the most honest man to ever become President is realize that the actual statements he makes are the opposite of what he is actually talking about.
Sigh.

I think it must be one of the Kubler-Ross stages for the 63 million unhinged, hate-filled, racist, ignorant Fuckface voters.
It’s all about tribal identity for these meatheads. And for the time being they can rationalize that, while Team Fuckface may be corrupt, lying, traitors, they are their corrupt, lying, traitors. But of course this requires that they place some distance between themselves and their beloved heroes. Because although they may be willing to support a team of corrupt, lying, traitors, deep down nobody really wants to believe that they themselves are a corrupt, lying, traitor. So this is the beginning of the process whereby the 63 million angry, hate-filled, racist meatheads begin to slowly cringe away from the dumpster fire and pretend that they didn’t pour on the kerosene and light the match.
Fuck that. Not this time. They are all corrupt, lying, traitors. Every damn one of them. And they are no longer entitled to call themselves American.

For example, they’ve hinted they’d fight a war with us to enforce their claims. I wouldn’t go as far as formally recognizing the Nine-Dash Line, but I’d offer them something approximating de facto recognition; to wit, I’d say, look, with the NK regime gone we can get by with much less military presence in the region, we’ll still sail and fly there, but not as much and in particular we wouldn’t see a need to send our carriers there in the ordinary course of events, and we’ll discontinue our reconnaissance flights off your coasts, too; and we’ll pretty much leave it to you guys to police the area, enforce navigation rights, and work out with your neighbors who gets the oil and fish.
