The reason the young woman apologized to the officer so quickly wasn’t mentioned in the article but had to do with a prior offense on her record. I’ve been curious about polling methodology surrounding Fuckface support lately. It seems to me that many spot polls attempting to measure Fuckface “popularity” or “approval” within the universe of Fuckface “supporters” had a big potential flaw. If such a poll opens asking the subject to indicate retrospectively which candidate they “supported” last year or which candidate they voted for last year it essentially begs for selection bias. I suspected that many “moderate” voters stampeded by media email frenzy into voting for Fuckface had regrets. Such voters might very naturally be reluctant to self-identify as Fuckface supporters eight or nine months later as the Fuckface corruption and incompetence continue to unfold, and thus might not be included among those the poll identifies as “Fuckface voters”.
Turns out there might be something to this.
This Reuters tracking poll of people who reported back in Nov. voting for Fuckface now indicates about one in eight of those same folks wish they hadn’t. Up from about one in nine in May. Nice trend line. Good to know we can count on Fuckface to keep it going.

He’s a lawyer with credentials: Yale undergrad, Cornell law, principal in a NY firm. Big-time lawyers typically fire clients who lie to them, and Trump probably has lied to him.
Another possibility is a representation conflict; Wikipedia says he represents “several Russian clients with close ties to Vladimir Putin.” With investigations closing in, he may have decided it’s time for Trump and those clients to have different lawyers.
Which client(s) to keep? Why, the one(s) who pay your bill, of course. When a lawyer drops a client it’s often because he’s not being paid. @1 Unless one interferes with traffic in a heedless manner one is not jaywalking. The 2nd group of people Carl are doing it right. In some cities of the world even following the laws make pedestrians jay walk usually in crowds. That way some make it across.
To cross a street or intersection with no traffic may get you in trouble with an over zealous cop who may ticket you. Make him show up in court you may get the judge to throw it out if there was no traffic. And if he frisked you ask the judge if you can frisk the officer now.
@1 Your one reference obscures the subject and is about the civil case possible outcomes should a pedestrian be hit by a car when jay walking. Which would require looking at actual case law here in Washington state. Probably not a good idea to hit a human being with your vehicle, no matter the circumstances. One has to live with the consequences even if the fault is entirely on the pedestrian.

McCain may resign or remain in office until he drops dead.
