Lobby the state insurance commission. Of course. The commission in my state tried it, when one of the newer NFP payers had the audacity to request permission to lower premiums! Gadzooks! Filthy hippie co-op members and other community stake holders descended on the state capital and the commission backed off. Now the State AG is investigating back channel contacts between industry and commission staff. But then, we have an honest AG who happens to be a Democrat. Already a handful of commission staffers are putting in for retirement. I see no reason to doubt that these tactics are being employed nationwide.

    Actually, it looks like the Obama administration has handled the Mali attack extremely well. Working with Malian troops, U.S. and French special forces responded immediately, and rescued over 80 hostages. No American hostages were killed. Al Qaeda is taking responsibility, and it looks like they may have lost all of their attackers, which could account for up to 10 of the 27 deaths reported by Mali authorities. It appears our side had this attack contained pretty fast.

The application process for asylum is rigorous by design and intention. Falsification in any form is regarded as immediate grounds for refusal and return to country of immediate origin.
