I’m looking forward to the employment numbers this morning. I may have been briefed on them yesterday, but today I’ll really delve deeper. I’ll be sure to keep Tweeting if I find something interesting.
Prime rate held steady at 79.2%. That’s a number.
They slightly revised the April numbers too. Did you know they could do that?
Roger Rabbit spews:
So, as Carl notes, Trump front-ran the employment numbers and his dumber-than-a-stump mouthpiece, Sarah Stooge, saw nothing wrong with this.
“‘If it was anyone but the president, you would have just gotten yourself a nice appointment with the FBI or the SEC,’ Austan Goolsbee, former chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, said on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box’ before the number was released.”

On June 5, a rapist-coddling California judge will face the music. Or not. It’s up to the voters. Let’s hope they do the right thing.

In case nobody else has noticed, rule of law is in trouble in our country. You don’t need a law degree to see this.
Conservatives, the chief proponents of lawless anarchy, know where this could lead. They’ve been arming like crazy. They’re stupid about lots of things, but they understand that a society not ruled by law most likely will be ruled by guns.
Check out Somalia for what America could look like if tribalism takes over the established processes of criminal conviction, sentencing, and pardons.
The Bundys’ acquittal, Brock Turner’s sentence, and Trump’s pardons don’t offer much grounds for optimism.
Roger Rabbit spews:
“A lot of people are tired of political correctness and being constrained by it,” he said. “People prefer when there’s an outsider who doesn’t have anything to lose and is willing to say what’s on a lot of people’s minds.”
He sounds like a candidate who would appeal to Trumpies, right? Check out his credentials here:

Hey Carl, you will find the plunge in the AA unemployment rate interesting.
Although not helpful to your ilk.
@godwinha spews:
Today Costco announced it will increase starting wages to $14-14.50/hr, and credited the tax cuts.
Even hourly employees in the Seattle area will see small increases if not subject to minimum wage laws.
Crumbs is how Nancy Pelosi described it. We’ll see how that plays out for her in November.
Sorry, ‘froggy. No crumbs for you. Gotta get and keep a job first.

Which reminds me. 1,500 “missing” immigrant children? More likely they’re just fresh meat for Republican perverts. Of course, America’s goats probably rejoice at the news. “Better they fuck human immigrant children than us poor, hapless goats.”

An admitted pedophile who served 16 months in federal prison for threatening to assassinate the president of the United States is now running for Congress thanks to former Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe. Nathan Larson is an independent candidate in Virginia who admitted to HuffPost that he’s a pedophile who bragged in blog posts about raping his ex-wife and fantasized online about having sex with young children. Larson is also a convicted felon who wouldn’t be eligible to run for office in Virginia had McAuliffe not restored Larson’s rights to vote and run for office in 2016. Larson was sentenced to 16 months in prison in October 2009 for threatening to kill the president.
Anyone convicted of a felony in Virginia automatically loses the rights to vote and run for office. But McAuliffe restored those rights to tens of thousands of convicted felons in August 2016. And that included Larson, HuffPost first noted on Thursday. McAuliffe originally issued a blanket clemency order affecting 200,000 felons in April 2016. The state Supreme Court struck down McAuliffe’s order in July 2016, ruling that the governor’s blanket amnesty order exceeded his legal authority. McAuliffe announced one month later that he was restoring the rights of 13,000 felons. The vice-chair of Virginia’s Board of Elections later told TheDCNF in Nov. 2016 that the true number of felons granted clemency was actually between 50,000 and 60,000. McAuliffe’s term ended in 2018. McAuliffe is widely thought to be positioning himself for a presidential campaign in 2020.

WTF!? spews:
@10. And some of your ilk will vote for him – that’ll show McCaulife who’s boss around here. And it will also be all Hillary’s fault – just ask Bob. And if not Hillary’s then Ted Kennedy’s fault.
Roger Rabbit spews:
I see in news reports that King County’s prosecuting attorney has switched parties, from R to D, and will have an opponent this fall. Possibly these two facts are connected, given that Trump got only 21% of the vote here.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@11 Who cares if he runs? That’s a problem only if stupid voters elect him. And if they do, that’s their problem.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@13 P.S., he can’t be much worse than some of the Republicans in Congress now.
Newt Hoenikker spews:
@12
There is some merit to your points about Satterberg switching parties, no political person that wants a change to win in King, Pierce, or Snohomish counties would want to be remotely associated with Trump (well maybe hairspray Dave).
However, I think he is hedging his bets that the voting public is stupid and will just vote on name recognition. I wouldn’t be surprised if he attacked as a RINO and a turncoat.
I think the residents of Seattle and King County are getting fed up with the homeless issue and the rampant drug dealing and opioid crisis and want a change in how crimes are prosecuted. Open drug dealing at the downtown park next to the court house, shameful.
It is pretty darn bad when the Pierce County PD PIO Ed Troyer seriously trolls Seattle about being a destination for homeless people: “Troyer told us that the mayor and the Seattle City Council are definitely taking a different approach by keeping the campgrounds open. He told us that many of the campers they talk with end up leaving their area, and heading to Seattle “because they hear how well they will be treated there and how good the services are.” http://mynorthwest.com/1006872.....handcuffs/
People bitch about the Gov taking the death penalty away, remember it was Maleng that really did it with Gary Ridgway. Maleng was a Republican and Satterberg was his understudy. It is time for a serious change and Satterberg just rearranging the decks chairs shouldn’t be a distraction.
Newt Hoenikker spews:
@15 (continued)
I’ve lived here all my life, believe in helping out people in need, but what Seattle has become is a damn disgrace. 12,000 homeless people in King County by the recent count: https://www.seattlepi.com/homeless_in_seattle/article/Connelly-Annual-homeless-count-in-city-county-12958028.php
Sure, cost of living is high here, but the amount of tents, campsites, and garbage these days is just unreal. What a way to present the city to all the cruise line tourists that come through the downtown area.
Whidbey Island is nice, a perfect town on the south end, aptly named “Freeland”. Have social services give the homeless a bus and ferry ticket and tell ’em to move to the promised land. Dr. Dumbfuck would surely welcome them.
WTF!? spews:
@16. I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s getting out of hand here in NYC too, and not being dealt with in a proper manner.
But it’s nit entirely caused by homeless people – the trash and uncleanliness. Detracts from the true beauty of this city, still one of the best cities.
