So the Democratic Congress is now considering an anti-gouging bill that also increases fuel economy. As I said to you earlier, they’ve been kind of busy passing the budget that the Republicans lazily left undone last year and passsing their “First 100 days” agenda. As for gas prices being “on the Democrats,” there’s a little thing called our failed occupation of Iraq that is keeping oil off the market, destabilizing the Middle east, and making us all less safe in the bargain. The, um, what was that, oh yeah, Republican administration and it’s, um, Republican supporters in Congress are keeping us there in the face of massive public sentiment to the contrary and massive evidence of their abject failure.
