Last night I went to a very exciting meeting of MoveOn.
Sandra, the volunteer organizer, invited three VERY impressive progressive groups to talk and to evaluate what is going on.
The exciting thing for me was the common realization that there is a common cause among now diverse groups, a need to bring the “left” together with now less involved patriotic citizens who believe in a common cause.
I do not have the time to discuss all that now, but I do want to suggest that folks here think about attending future MO meetings and am going to post those over at THE-Ave calendar.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Friday, November 12, 2010
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 24% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20
Seems like Obama is having a very difficult time gaining traction. He is 0 for everything using his hat in hand screwball approach to foreign policy. He just failed to deliver in south Korea. Fail, Fail, Fail

hahaha – you are so funny! Your hero, Bush, screwed up so badly that respect for America world-wide and among our allies was at an all-time low.
Did you forget all of that?
Wow, not only are you a partisan demagogue – but you are incredibly stoopid too.

Zotz, while the sentiment underlying your new moniker is surely well-supported, let’s say, um, the imagery it evokes is a bit troublesome.

Meanwhile………….with regards to G20, China and US fiscal policy, there’s this hilarious gem from SNL
A state lawmaker from Gig Harbor says he’ll make “damn sure” Seattle is held responsible for paying for any cost overruns if the planned deep-bore tunnel replacement for the Alaskan Way Viaduct goes over-budget.
Rep. Larry Seaquist, a 26th District Democrat, says if commuters from his district had to bear the brunt of the costs for a new Tacoma Narrows Bridge, then Seattle should cover the tab if the tunnel project goes over the $2.8 billion authorized by the Legislature.

Meh. This clip is not that funny, cute, satirical or clever. Stewart should just do the half-hour by himself.

When it comes to the health care law Obama signed in March, just 39 percent back the GOP effort to repeal it or scale it back. Fifty-eight percent would rather make even more changes in the health care system or leave the measure alone

The Atlantic Monthly has a coherent article on the deficit reduction commission report that’s worth reading. It’s analysis laced with opinion that offers some interesting punditry on what’s politically possible (and what isn’t).
L&I gets serious about its premiums Not paying workers’ compensation premiums could be costly for construction companies and contractors.
This week the Department of Labor & Industries began serving stop work orders to construction businesses caught without a current L&I workers’ compensation account.
