    The British government tried to set up a similar website recently, I think it was yesterday they announced they had to take it down because it was being flooded with rather hateful, racist suggestions about minorities which were making Goebbels look good in comparison.

    The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 27% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17.

    Voters overwhelmingly believe that there is currently too much regulation of small businesses but are evenly divided about whether big business needs more or less regulation. Overall, 69% say that when it comes to helping the economy and creating jobs, more competition and less government regulation is better than increased regulation and less competition. Voters are evenly divided over a one-year moratorium on new government regulations.

    Given the sorry state of GOP finances, the disarray at the RNC that takes out their most potent coordinating apparatus, the RNC’s subsequently deteriorating and out-of-date Voter Vault database program, and the ever-wingnuttier candidate statements (look at usually close-mouthed Dino Rossi, for example) driving away moderate independent voters, I would not be surpised if November 2010 is much worse for the GOP than they think it will be.

    Michele Bachmann thinks that if the GOP wins back the House, it should spend all of its time issuing subpoenas and investigating the president. Seriously. Nothing but issuing subpoenas.

    Dino, do you think that is the way that the Republican Party should serve the people’s interest during the worst recession in most people’s living memory? Well, DO ya?

    14: If we get the young people involved again, to the same level they were in 2006 and 2008, it will indeed be an impressive victory for Democrats. The Republicans won’t even see it coming, because their polls exclude those who don’t have a land line in their home. I don’t know anyone under thirty who has a home land line these days (which makes Frontier Communication’s acquisition of Verizon’s residential land-line business so puzzling).

    Ask for your ideas and opinions, and then completely ignore them. THat is what will happen. What happened with the ideas people proposed last year? Nothing. The way the legislature works, there are two people that matter Chopp and Brown. What they can count on is the majority of other reps will vote with them.

    This is the most disappointing set of democrats ever. They suck. They suck almost as much as the republicans. They suck because they are republican lite.

    Next, a Governor and legislators that understand, grasp, practice, and embrace the concept of fiscal restraint and budget prioritization.

    No more arrogantly dismissing the will of the voters by “temporarily” overturning voter passed initiatives. We will remember and soon it’ll be payback time assholes.
