    Hey, I “know” Obama is a socialist who will soon have the government designing iPods and building cars (just wait, any day now). But golly, how come Wall Street hasn’t noticed. I KNOW Sarah Palin and Glen Beck are smarter than everyone on Wall Street, and know more about capitalism and economics, so how come Beck, Palin or Limbaugh haven’t written a letter to the leaders on Wall Street to inform them!

    I mean poor Wall Street, those suckers are under the impression that Obama is the 180 degree exact opposite of socialist, and they think between the bank bailouts, car bailouts, health care ‘reform’, and such that we’re taking tax payer money and GIVING it to Wall Street and private for-profit firms, not taking Wall Street money and giving it to the people. So…er…the Dow closed yesterday at the highest point since Obama took office. Why can’t Wall Street listen to Beck, Palin and Limbaugh and understand that Obama (and his secret Kenyan army) will STEAL their money (and guns) any day now! If ONLY everyone listened to Beck we’d be saved! Oh sad days!

    Since Obama “the socialist” has taken office, socialist Wall Street (giggle) has pushed the dow from 6,500 to 10,700. If only Wall Street would listen to Beck, Palin and Limbaugh they’d realize that Obama and his secret anti-christian Kenyan army would soon take us over and the government will take over the free market (and steal our guns) and design iPods for us! ROTFLMAO.

    Health care in analogy:

    We have some of the best health care TECHNOLOGY on earth, but some of the worst ACCESS. That’s the core of our problem and why our nation is so unhealthy compared to the rest of the world. Think of it this way. What if I build a car that goes 450mph, gets 190mpg, and can survive a head on collision at any speed safely…oh, it costs $1.6 million dollars. So I can SAY I have the best car world, better than any car in say Canada. But if only 1% of the people can afford to buy it, does it matter? Does it? Having “the best” is moot if people can’t get access to it or afford it. Maybe the Canadian cars can only go 125mph, get 30mpg, and are decently safe, but everyone can afford them. In that case, who’s country would have better “transportation”?

    Health care in the US is broken and is heading for a complete break down, except for the rich. Double digit premium increases year after year guarantee this.

    I know why the so called health care industry supports the status quo: increasing premiums on well people and dumping sick people means an ever increasing profit margin for them.

    I also know why the Rethugs in congress supports the status quo: they march in step with their masters.

    I also know why the tea party and others like them support the status quo: they believe what they have been told by their “reliable sources”.

    The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 23% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20. That’s just one point above the all-time low.

    Each time the President leads a big push for his health care plan, his job approval ratings suffer.

    Obam-Mao truly seems to believe that he can LIE and everyone must believe it.
    He has lost credibility with the majority of Americans. The shine has worn off, the image tarnished. Progressivism is D-E-A-D!

    Up in BC, criminal charges have finally been filed in the sinking of the MV Queen of the North. It has only been 4 years since the BC Ferry left Port Hardy on it’s routine run to Prince Rupert, BC and sank off Gil Island. Two charges of Criminal Negligence Causing Death against the Navigation Officer, in the case of 2 passengers that were never found. Although I am surprised the Crown Prosecutors did not charge the other crewmembers. One story had some of them playing God in a way. That they focused on saving a couple crewmembers in the Engine Room(which is below the water line) instead of a room by room search of the Passenger Cabin. The ship sank in about an hour. The rescue effort was much better, as the Canadian Coast Guard was steaming to the rescue, they had help from a nearby fishing village, who fired up their boats and headed out to help. (BC Ferries 2 North Route boats are not like anything down here, think of a version of the old Princess Margarite, part car ferry, part Ocean Liner)

    Plus, one reason the investigation took so long, was they were waiting on the Canadian Equivalent of the NTSB to issue their findings, and there was also an internal investigation by BC Ferries, of which the crewmembers responsible were fired.

    Some are calling for a judicial inquiry of the sinking itself, because the trial of the navigation officer will not, in their opinion, answer all the questions. The BC Legislature should go for the judicial inquiry, the legislature itself is probably partially to blame. The Liberals made management changes to BC Ferries when they took over after the 2001 election. The previous New Democratic Party government wasted money that might have gone to replacing the Queen of the North on a new generation of ferries that would have reduced travel times on the main routes between the Victoria area and the Lower Mainland. Think of our Chinook-Class ferries with their wake erosion problems, only being bigger, and carried automobiles.
