    “The owners of Hobby Lobby, a Christian-owned craft supply chain, were so offended by the idea of having to include emergency contraceptives and intrauterine devices in their health insurance plans that they sued the Obama administration and took the case all the way up to the Supreme Court.

    “But Mother Jones reported on Tuesday that the company’s retirement plan has invested millions of dollars in the manufacturers of emergency contraception and drugs used to induce abortions.

    “Hobby Lobby’s 401(k) employee retirement plan holds $73 million in mutual funds that invest in multiple pharmaceutical companies that produce emergency contraceptive pills, intrauterine devices, and abortion-inducing medications.”

    Rosa Parks: My Story

    On the evening of December Rosa Parks decided that she was going to sit in the white people section on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama. During this time blacks had to give up there seats to whites when more whites got on the bus. Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. Her and the bus driver began to talk and the conversation went like this. “Let me have those front seats” said the driver. She didn’t get up and told the driver that she was tired of giving her seat to white people. “I’m going to have you arrested,” said the driver. “You may do that,” Rosa Parks responded. Two white policemen came in and Rosa Parks asked them “why do you all push us around?” The police officer replied and said “I don’t know, but the law is the law and you’re under arrest.

    That is what passes for an A- paper at UNC for a football player. While I’m getting red marks for misplaced commas or sentence fragments as well as the occasional typo, these guys are being awarded with higher grades than I get on their papers that wouldn’t pass at 4th grade level. The individual who wrote this is functionally illiterate.

    Education is being subverted for the purpose of maintaining a GPA that permits an individual to remain on the team, just so the big Sports Universities can maintain the illusion of their original purpose. That purpose being to enhance an individual’s knowledge of a subject to a point where they could start teaching it, and developing a greater level of knowledge of a subject to enable further research into that subject. The above “essay” indicates the individual just isn’t intelligent enough to do anything but sweep floors, dig ditches or wash dishes.

    Most people who go to University go to the BA or BS or something and then step off into the working world without going any farther with the subject. Often the people who go on to a higher degree are doing so to credential themselves for work that requires a high level of real understanding and acumen. Any damn fool can become a Lawyer, Louie Gohmert proved that. One not even need to be able to form a coherent sentence. But to become a Physician or a Geologist or a Chemist, one needs to know shit. Real shit. Like basic analysis of information and processing data through one’s own mind and getting real information from that.

    The Bachelors level degree is rarely used other than as a qualification for the job, as it offers no real credential.

    They’re teaching at Universities in the United States what they used to teach at the High and Junior High school level. We used to teach Latin, mathematics, languages, music, art and careful analysis of information. Now, at Universities, we have remedial reading classes and remedial Mathematics taught at the 4th grade level merely to accommodate the athletes who serve no other function than to generate cash flow for corporations that serve no other purpose than entertainment. They are preventing scholars from entering merely to preserve those slots for functionally illiterate imbeciles who have no business whatsoever attending University, and likely would never have graduated High School without their ability to bounce a ball around. Who cares if Johnny can read, that motherfucker can throw a football. So what if he tears out his anterior Anterior cruciate ligament in his Junior year and can never play again. At least he looked good on the television while he could play.

    If I was a business owner and I saw athletic scholarships and play at the University level by someone applying for a job, that would be an instant red flag for me, and I would not hire such an individual. The grades are false, and the education level deficient.

    Meanwhile Harry Reid upset Tom Coburn is telling the truth about Obummercare and cancer treatments!

    Unfortunately for Coburn, he was required under the law to enroll in the Affordable Care Act. As a result, Coburn has joined the ranks of those who have lost their preferred doctor as a result of the law.

    Mass Shooting Of The Day (TM)

    At least 14 people were wounded today by a shooter at Fort Hood, Texas. The shooter, who committed suicide, is the only reported fatality so far.

    Media sources now report 4 are dead (including the shooter) and 11 are wounded (some seriously) in today’s Fort Hood shooting. Authorities say the shooter was a soldier and the shooting resulted from a “soldier dispute.”

Half the seats of the board are in the hands of the unions or the works council. One of the management seats goes to a German State government that owns shares in VW. The current coalition running Lower Saxony is a Social Democratic/Green Government. The Chattanooga plant may not get any new lines right now. The Puebla, Mexico plant is union, even though it may be a weak one.
