Good Danny Westneat column pointing out that today’s King County budget is actually up 14% from 2005, and that those who claim the minor cutting that is going on is “a systematic dismantling of county government,” are being hyperbolic.
• Sales-tax revenue is expected to be $25 million less than what had been forecast for the coming year.
• Real-estate excise-tax revenue has fallen by 70 percent from 2007.
• Business-and-occupation-tax revenue is expected to be down next year, too.
Hey Goldy, why don’t they just RAISE TAXES?
Let’s see, Goldy wants Obama to RAISE TAXES.
Goldy wants Gregoire to RAISE TAXES.
Goldy wants King Kounty to RAISE TAXES.
Goldy wants School District to RAISE TAXES.
And now what Goldy??
What should Seattle do???
RAISE TAXES!!

Mr. Cynicalspews:
Obama weak.
Americans overwhelmingly feel Country headed in wrong direction.
Congress needs to read and post Legislation before voting.
OUCH!
Thursday, October 01, 2009
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -8. Thirty-three percent (33%) say the nation is generally heading in the right direction.
Eighty-three percent (83%) say that all legislation should be posted online and available for everyone to read before Congress votes on it. Of those who want the information available, 64% say legislation should be posted in final form at least two weeks before a vote.

cyn, His numbers are down, but not for the reasons you think.
I for one, would have voted that that the nation is generally NOT heading in the right direction, because , for example, we don’t have a strong public option Health Care bill.
Because the Dems continue to be spineless and act like the repubs are in power, the nation is generally NOT heading in the right direction.
7
correctnotrightspews:
Actually, in real polls Obama’s numbers are up:
A CBS/New York Times poll put him at 56%-33%, compared to 56%-35% in August. An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll has him at 51%-41%, compared to 51%-40% in August. A Fox News poll has him at 54%-39%, compared to 53%-40% in August.
And Klynical fails to give the real breakdown on Obamas overall favorable vs unfavorable – preferring instead to use the stiilted “index” that was never used for any other President before.
According to this false “index” Bush was at negative 38, at one point. So much for objectivity and ability to undertand data from Klynical – your neighborhood third-grade level troll. Pluus, I have already shown numerous times that Rasmussen is a biased republican pollster that is unreliable and out of the mainstream (an outlier) based on their inferior methodology and biased questions.

Speaking of rightwingnut crazies, here is the headline and first few lines of a “newsmax” column advocating a military coup against Obama:
Obama Risks a Domestic Military Intervention
By: John L. Perry
There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.” Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.
Yup, these “patriots” who supported illegal torture and illegal spying on Americans want a third world style “coup”. These idiots would not know the constitution if it knocked them on the side of the head.
And Newsmax – that bogus “news” organization lists the republican party as a sponsor.
9
correctnotrightspews:
Oh yeah, the republican health care plan….first they trotted out a plan that cost 1.8 trillion, gave away the farm to the insurance industry, did not control costs, did not cover everyone and did not reduce premiums or the costs of health care…..it was so incomplete they took it back…now they are voting on “amendmends”.
What do the republicans want to do to the health care plan? They want to make poor people pay more and give more money to the insurance industry…that is their idea of reform.
Why?
Because they get lots of money from the insurance industry and they don’t care aobut poor people dying from lack of insurance.
It’s getting late in the Senate Finance Committee’s writing of a health-care bill, but not too late for Republicans on Wednesday to make one more valiant stand for the health insurance industry.
Late in the afternoon, Sen. Chuck Grassley (Iowa), the top Republican on the committee, requested consideration of the “Grassley F-1 Modified Amendment.” Its goal: eliminate $7 billion a year in fees that the government would charge private health insurance companies, and make up the shortfall by reducing benefits to poor people and legal immigrants.
It was dangerously close to a parody: Republicans demanding that fees be reduced on a profitable industry and shifted to low-income Americans.
Yup, it these uncaring SOBs that people like Puddy support.

Raising taxes in a bad economy is not the answer…per Christine Gregoire!
We should be lowering taxes and getting $$ moving legitimately (not with more MASSIVE DEFICIT SPENDING AND Obama borrowing smoke-and-mirrors game).
BJ..have you ever considered that government has grown and is doing way too much in our lives? Lots of people have. It’s like a drug…let government do it.
Now is the best time ever to reform government and get back to the basics of Public Safety, Defense and Infrastructure.
Empower PEOPLE, not a seperate entity of Government, to CONTINUE to do good things.
I know the Government Employees Unions go nuts when they hear terms like right-sizing government…but what we have now is UNSUSTAINABLE.

Up your pal. This is the same way you’ve been treating conservatives for the last 50 years bud! This guy actually told someone to participate in law breaking. All Mark Foley did was talk to people who were OF AGE per the FBI!
Yesterday we told you about the creepily named American Police Force, the mysterious security company which had secured a ten year contract to run an unused but super-expensive prison in tiny Hardin, Montana but refused to say what they were going to do with it and proceeded to swagger around town like Solider of Fortune pin-ups.
There were conspiracy theories aplenty and a lot of legitimate suspicion that APF was a cover or proxy for some bigger and more well-known security outfit that didn’t want to reveal its name.
So who runs APF? Good news! A convicted thief and sometime real estate swindler with about a dozen aliases from Orange County, California.
THISis why I love republicans and our stupid fucking trolls so much. They do and say the goddamned cutest things.
Back a few years ago when I was doing a lot of reporting on security companies working in Iraq, I was always amused, surprised, sometimes forced to laugh out loud at how often it seemed that the security company was just a shell offering to do any number of things they’d never done before but would be happy to figure out how to do if you gave them a contract. And when we were poking around in the background of American Police Force, the gonzo security outfit which took over that prison up in Montana, it seemed like pretty much the same story. Only to an almost infinitely more comical degree.
Among the services? Surveilling your cheating spouse, security for convoys in Iraq, rescuing kidnapping victims. And if rescuing kidnapping victims ain’t your bag, APF will also kidnap people and hold them for ransom for you. (This latter part may actually just be a matter of sloppy writing. But with APF, who knows. They want to serve your needs; whatever they might be.) Sort of like working either the management or labor side of Labor Law. Similarly, they’ll either provide protection from WMDs or provide you with WMDs. Whichever side you want to play. Also, “covert pregnancy testing.”
It goes on and on. Rachel Slajda has the story.
Oh yeahhhhh…this is a good one.

All Mark Foley did was talk to people who were OF AGE per the FBI! You do not remember the facts.
After the initial story on the e-mails, other pages contacted ABC and the Washington Post, providing transcripts of sexually explicit instant messaging (IM) conversations from 2003 that Foley had with two pages under the age of 18 at the time. The Washington Post reported that it had received its copies of these same IMs from a page who had served on Capitol Hill with the two pages who received them.
The irony was Foley was chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, which introduced legislation targeting sexual predators and created stricter guidelines for tracking them.
He was engaging in the behavior that he was trying to stop.
Now if we applied the story that Foley did this 21 years ago and not since, personally, I would have considered it creepy, but if he had not engaged in the behavior for decades, then I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he has learned to make better choices.

But we became a great nation not because we are a nation of cynics. We became a great nation because we are a nation of believers.”
Appearing before a crowd of Washington’s elite power players and opinion-makers, Graham spoke largely without filter, offering acidic takes on subject well beyond Beck. The Senator called the birther community that questions the president’s U.S. citizenship “crazy” and implored them to “knock this crap off” so the country could get on to more important matters.
“I’m here to tell you that those who think the president was not born in Hawaii are crazy,” said Graham, who went on to dispel another myth: that Obama is a closet Muslim.
Amazing! He must really want that new Boeing assembly line or something. Look at us! Not everyone here is Mark Sanford!

So riddle me this, YLB: Why doesn’t the Democrat left apply the word genocide to the real American holocaust, the 30,000,000+ children who were destroyed before they were allowed to be born and ground down by the health-care genocide?

Most Americans say they are worried about Iran developing a nuclear weapons program, and think President Obama should be tougher on the rogue nation. In addition, a clear majority supports the use of force to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. According to a new FOX News poll released Thursday, a sizable 69 percent majority of Americans thinks President Obama has not been tough enough on Iran. That includes over half of Democrats (55 percent), two-thirds of independents (67 percent) and almost all Republicans (88 percent).
Some 16 percent of Americans think the president’s actions have been “about right” and hardly any — 6 percent — say he has been “too tough” on Iran. By a two-to-one margin the public thinks the U.S. will eventually need to use military force to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons — 59 percent think so, while 29 percent think Iran can be stopped without the use of force.
Furthermore, 61 percent of Americans support the U.S. taking military action to stop Iran, including majorities of Democrats (53 percent), Republicans (73 percent) and independents (55 percent). Some 28 percent of Americans oppose military action against Iran.

Once again, you fail to grasp the main point. The republicans are gettting millions from the insurance lobby and are voting in lock step with the lobby.
do I have to detail all the money the crooked and corrupt republicans are getting from the insurance companies?
In 2004, Humana’s chairman and former CEO David Jones donated a million dollars to the McConnell Center for Political Leadership, a University of Louisville academic center.
Medicare Advantage is a GOP-created program that gives private plans an average of 14 percent more tax dollars than the government pays for coverage of patients under traditional Medicare.
Democratic health-care proposals would cut payments to those plans by about $123 billion over 10 years.
That would cut deeply into insurance company profits.
So who is voting to support obscene insurance company profits….do I have to spell it out for you Puddy – or are you bright enough to figure it out on your own? Insurance companies are ripping off our taxes….and republicans want to enable them.
Next time you complain about taxes – remember that! Hypocrite.
Oh, and Klynical, try chewing on these numbers for your republican “heroes” in congress:
Even lower numbers (12%) give Republicans in Congress positive ratings and over half (52%) give them negative ones

Butt correctnotright there is more… Puddy don’t trust your kook-aid so Puddy uses one of his well known favorite sites which correctly reorder your lists proving you are notright norcorrect…
“In all, 61 members of Congress—39 in the Senate, 22 in the House, 38 Democrats and 23 Republicans—got money from 10 or more outside lobbyists whose healthcare or health insurance industry clients also contributed to their campaigns.”
Senators Top Ten
McCain, John R $473,400 – those were mostly 2008 presidential campaign contributions correctnotright. Butt don’t let facts get in the way of a “good biased argument”
McConnell, Mitch R $237,722
Baucus, Max D $200,899
Dodd, Chris D $130,808
Specter, Arlen D $108,778
Warner, Mark D $84,450
Roberts, Pat R $83,420
Udall, Mark D $79,150
Landrieu, Mary D $67,000 Murray, Patty D $59,500 OMG she’s broken the top 10 in something…
Sometimes Puddy wonders why you act like ylb arschloch when REAL DATA is available for your to investigate, you cherry pick some biased site. Cynical recently wrote you’ve become more nasty. Puddy NOW AGREES!
House Top Ten
Camp, Dave R $72,750
Cantor, Eric R $71,300
Boehner, John R $55,000
Meek, Kendrick D $50,028
Hoyer, Steny H D $41,625

Maffei, Dan D $34,450
Pomeroy, Earl D $24,281
Blunt, Roy R $21,600 Waxman, Henry D $20,500OMG, ain’t this fool writing one of the bills?
When Puddy and others show the “errors” you place here by purposeful omissions you provide a great laugh for all who think right fool!
Butt wait correctnotright… there’s even more good news for you to swallow and it ain’t kook-aid…
“Paul Kirk, Massachusetts’ Interim U.S. Senator, Intimately Tied to Business, Lobbying and Democrats”
And lookie here correctnotright… Ben Nelson (D) has made an insurance lobby killing over the years…
According to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, Sen. Nelson has raised more than $2 million from insurance and health care interests in his three campaigns for federal office.
The republicans are gettting millions from the insurance lobby and are voting in lock step with the lobby.
Looks like the Democrats did very well notcorrect and notright. And Democrats are scoring big time from the Wall Street Lobby. Wanna see Chucky Schumer lead that data list AGAIN? You can ask the person you seem to emulate lately, ylb arschloch, cuz he traps every PuddyMissive trying to be chronologically correct but failing miserably every time!!!!!

And when you hear crap being spouted by Puddy….just ignore it. He can’t defend these numbers – he will just deflect and deny as usual.
Ahhh yes, after today’s demolition you can go back into your burrow. Remember, send Puddy your request to review the latest correctnotrightism and watch Puddy demolish him with facts and URLs you can read yourself.
I love answering an idiot like you hwho has no reasoning ability.
Again, fool, you make no counter arguments and I listed one citation because that is all this website allows.
In the meantime have you disputed ANYTHING?
Thanks for reproving my point with different data – the large majority of the top ten recipients of health care PAC money are republicans.
Your data looks at 2007-2009 – mine was from 2008-2009 (mostly after the election).
Even after the democrats are in control, republicans dominate the top money positions.
I notice you ignore the republican bought and sold corrupt leaders:
Boehner
Cantor
McCain
McConnell
But point out the measly 20K to Waxman who is opposing the health care lobby?
Do you not get it?
Your own friggin’ data proves my point and you are too dumb to recognize it. hahahah.
And did you answer the aprt about republicans backing up the health care industry so they take more of our taxes (that they don’t need and pay their exhorbtant salaries) and take it from poor people?
Nope.
Thanks for “destroying” my arguments….you are a legend in your own mind, fool. That is why we laugh at your ignorance.
Here is a hint: If you want to actually discuss as an adult, read your own citations, quit calling people names and quit celebrating your “victories” that are actually defeats.
Still waiting for you to defend the republicans wasting tax money to pay off the same health care industry they are taking oney fron…..crickets are chirping…..

Oh, and I put in the link on the health care numbers and they are from a reputable source – can you not read?
Your source does not include the contributions from Big Pharma too.

Oh, and the main democrat that got a lot of money:
Max Baucus – the guy who single-handedly has nixed the public option and is trying to make nice with the republicans (go figure).

Here is the Guardian on the health care “debate” in the US:
The industry and interest groups have spent $380m (£238m) in recent months influencing healthcare legislation through lobbying, advertising and in direct political contributions to members of Congress. The largest contribution, totalling close to $1.5m, has gone to the chairman of the senate committee drafting the new law.
A former member of Bill Clinton’s cabinet says fears that the industry could throw its money behind the populist rightwing backlash against public insurance have scared the Obama White House into pulling back from the most significant reforms in return for healthcare companies not trying to scupper the entire legislation.
Drug and insurance companies say they are merely seeking to educate politicians and the public. But with industry lobbyists swarming over Capitol Hill ‑ there are six registered healthcare lobbyists for every member of Congress ‑ a partner in the most powerful lobbying firm in Washington acknowledged that healthcare firms’ money “has had a lot of influence” and that it is “morally suspect”.
My oh my correctnotright came back with a whimper. One link in how many posts? OMG. I could almost bow down and perform obeisance to the great correctnotright.
Regarding reading my posts… ummm… I posted the data from them. Regarding this doozy
Still waiting for you to defend the republicans wasting tax money to pay off the same health care industry they are taking oney fron
Puddy ain’t defending them. You on the other hand run run run from Puddy when I provide unmistakable data showing your side in the same cookie jar. You have no comment for Democrat “the messiah” and his “disciples” giving an $80 Billion break to big pharma and insurance, with no input from Republicans on that decision, but you’ll jump on any article which puts Republicans in a bad light. The big pharma has nothing to do with contributions moron. They made a deal with “the messiah” to not attack him on his proposals in congress with their lobbyists. You are stupid to the infinite degree.
The reason Puddy used the link above is when your side took over the congress fool!
You are such a contentious fool. We laugh at you again today!

Blue John spews:
cyn, His numbers are down, but not for the reasons you think.
I for one, would have voted that that the nation is generally NOT heading in the right direction, because , for example, we don’t have a strong public option Health Care bill.
Because the Dems continue to be spineless and act like the repubs are in power, the nation is generally NOT heading in the right direction.
correctnotright spews:
Actually, in real polls Obama’s numbers are up:
And Klynical fails to give the real breakdown on Obamas overall favorable vs unfavorable – preferring instead to use the stiilted “index” that was never used for any other President before.
According to this false “index” Bush was at negative 38, at one point. So much for objectivity and ability to undertand data from Klynical – your neighborhood third-grade level troll.

BJ..have you ever considered that government has grown and is doing way too much in our lives? Lots of people have. It’s like a drug…let government do it.
Now is the best time ever to reform government and get back to the basics of Public Safety, Defense and Infrastructure.

I know the Government Employees Unions go nuts when they hear terms like right-sizing government…but what we have now is UNSUSTAINABLE.

Now if we applied the story that Foley did this 21 years ago and not since, personally, I would have considered it creepy, but if he had not engaged in the behavior for decades, then I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he has learned to make better choices.

By waiting for good intelligence, which he did and Cheney would never have done, we now have the Iranians redhanded. Damn, you’re dumb. That’s why we’re going to win and your ilk will fade into dust. You don’t know what a Marxist is, you don’t know what an ideologue is (though you are an ideologue). Let’s revisit the Iran issue in July of next year, shall we? What’s your prediction, Sweetpea? Iran will have dropped a nuclear weapon on Jerusalem? C’mon, specifics, give us specifics.

ylb arschloch farts
He resigned under pressure and embarrassment fool. And the Dummocrapt they voted in was a real winner wasn’t he. If you remember Puddy was one of the first conservatives here to call him out on his behavior. Ask Steve, he found it. Ohhh… wait a minute… you have tctmgr, you already have the HA URL and date stamp where Puddy called out Foley and his actions. And the other one where Puddy placed he broke no laws.
Sucks to be your exploding head!
ylb arschloch – historical revisionist.
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Ahhh struck a real chord with HA arschloch
Yep, we all know you admitted to being a Sybil, an unemployed conservative at home but a flaming hating unemployed liberal arschloch in public.
A “man” of two minds. No wonder you are the dumbest brick on HA ylb arschloch!
Empty Suit Obama spews:
G’mornin’ puddy.
Are you stupid? Abortions are performed at many of the area hospitals like Group Health, Swedish, Harborzoo, etc. it’s just the dirty little secret that they don’t like to advertise.
Yes, and he’s lost both of them…
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Watch Puddy make correctnotright the daily HorsesASS he is…
EPIC FAIL on your part fool! When you look in the mirror you fail all the time and we on the right belly laugh at you. Your latest failure was the poverty values and how you think a 5% increase in the poverty level in New Hampshire is better than a 15% decrease in the poverty level Arkansas.
Oh yes… Puddy missed a decreasing temperature slope elevation of .105°C and you went nuts. The temperature is dropping at the equator and the slope was just off a tenth of a °C. Yep Puddy really missed that data. It’s still getting cooler ya moron.
Now when confronted over the $80 Billion deal the whitey house made with Big Pharma and Insurance for their support on the public option of the health care bill you turn a blind eye cuz thems your peeps. This is why we laugh at you correctnotright.
Landrieu, Mary D $67,000
Murray, Patty D $59,500 OMG she’s broken the top 10 in something…
Sometimes Puddy wonders why you act like ylb arschloch when REAL DATA is available for your to investigate, you cherry pick some biased site. Cynical recently wrote you’ve become more nasty. Puddy NOW AGREES!

When Puddy and others show the “errors” you place here by purposeful omissions you provide a great laugh for all who think right fool!
Butt wait correctnotright… there’s even more good news for you to swallow and it ain’t kook-aid…
And lookie here correctnotright… Ben Nelson (D) has made an insurance lobby killing over the years…
Looks like the Democrats did very well notcorrect and notright.
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Hey correctnotright… there were three links in the above daily demolition of your sorry ASS. Use links fool!
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
Ever notice correctnotright places “data” but you SELDOM or NEVER see the URLs where he “gets” his “data”? Do you wonder what kook-aid he drinks? Puddy does too…
More correctnotrightisms
Ahhh yes, after today’s demolition you can go back into your burrow. Remember, send Puddy your request to review the latest correctnotrightism and watch Puddy demolish him with facts and URLs you can read yourself.

ESO@55
Morning back at you!
correctnotright spews:
@56: Dear Puddy Maroon
Still waiting for you to defend the republicans wasting tax money to pay off the same health care industry they are taking oney fron…..crickets are chirping…..
correctnotright spews:
Oh, and I put in the link on the health care numbers and they are from a reputable source – can you not read?
Your source does not include the contributions from Big Pharma too.
correctnotright spews:
Oh, and the main democrat that got a lot of money:
Max Baucus – the guy who single-handedly has nixed the public option and is trying to make nice with the republicans (go figure).
Thanks for playing Puddy – time to go back to your sandbox.
correctnotright spews:
Here is the Guardian on the health care “debate” in the US:

Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
My oh my correctnotright came back with a whimper. One link in how many posts? OMG. I could almost bow down and perform obeisance to the great correctnotright.
Regarding reading my posts… ummm… I posted the data from them. Regarding this doozy
How is that positive movement in NH poverty treatng you today?
Puddybud is shocked SHOCKED spews:
The Guardian…
“Editorial articles in The Guardian are generally to the left of the political spectrum.”
And naturally correctnotright swings that way!
