    Goldy, Jon, Lee, et. al. can we have a reputation system in the comment threads? At the very least allow registered users the ability to upvote and downvote on comments. Not delete comments just rank them. I think you would get more interesting discussions. The same old trolls same old BS day after day after day gets boring. I want to see the highest rated comments at the top and ignore the rest. and I want to see what thoughtful people have to say about what is written.

    If I were an alien visitor coming to this website I would presume that only trolls read this blog.

The public sentiment also poses a challenge to central elements of Obama’s governing agenda. Half of those surveyed said deficit reduction should be a national priority over increased spending on health care, education or alternative energy.

    We have been spending money the past 3 years on home improvements…trying to help keeps guys in construction working. It is very bleak here so Obama’s enthusiasm makes it appear he is totally out of touch with working folks.
    I’m afraid the Commercial Real Estate deck-of-cards is next. We sold our interest in a Commercial Building that was fully rented…but some tenants were struggling.
    Wanted to get my LT Capital Gains before Obama’s next Socialistic Shoe drops with major tax increases.
    I think we also have some major Crdit Card exposure that will also hit the fan.
    If 80% of Americans think the Economy is poor…translates into huge problems ahead.
    Obama can cheerlead all he wants…and he can give us a TEMPORARY reprieve by running up the National Debt Credit Card…but in the end, the Bill will come due. Young Americans are screwed. High inflation and Tax Increases.
    they did it to themselves. the joke is on THEM as they voted 2-1 for O-blah-blah.
    THEY get to figure out how to pay back $9 TRILLION of debt. Most of their labor will go to pay:

    1) THIS MASSIVE DEBT
    2) RETIRED GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES PENSIONS

    It was only eight months ago that others here were heralding Obama’s keen war judgment with regard to Iraq and Afghanistan (Iraq was the wrong war, Afghanistan the good) including, I believe, Lee.

    Ideally we should be making progress in Afghanistan with lower troops and arms levels. Afghanistan should eventually be left to stand on its own with support by its neighbors in the region.

    When people are confronted with their own crap their reading comprehension goes to crap as well. It could also be just merely lying about what people write but I’m a generous soul, so I’ll just complete the thought.

    I’ve complained for years about Puddybud’s reading comprehension. I say “reign of error” and he spits back “reign of terror”. He does this all the time. Comprehending what people write in obviously wrong ways more or less suited to his own purposes.
