Uh, Jon,
Funny post. Actually, very funny post. Then, your comment. Are we still in satire mode, or not? Is this a Rahm Emanuel commentary, perhaps?

NOW we see the major argument against gay marriage! Or is this about husband abuse?
I wonder if this skit could be replayed with Palin as the guy and Wolfie-the-Dude as meek lady on the couch?
Maybe gays should be married?

Ooo… Mark Cuban= busted! Anybody know if he’s a Republican?
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, owner of the National Basketball Association’s Dallas Mavericks, was charged Monday by the Securities and Exchange Commission with insider trading.
According to the SEC, Cuban sold 600,000 shares of Internet search company Mamma.com in June 2004 using non-public information.
Cuban is accused of calling his broker and instructing him to sell all of his stock from Mamma.com after receiving the confidential information from the company.

According to Wiki, so take it for what’s worth…
Cuban is an admirer of Objectivist philosophy and author/philosopher Ayn Rand. About Rand’s novel The Fountainhead, he said: “[It] was incredibly motivating to me. It encouraged me to think as an individual, take risks to reach my goals, and responsibility for my successes and failures. I loved it.” His political views lean towards libertarianism.
I think Obama needs to be careful not to take too many senators for his cabinet. Even if a Democratic senator can be appointed in their place, we don’t know the long-term consequences (a year or more from now) of having well-vetted and tested warriors in the Senate being replaced by less well-known ones.
Today a Republican was praising Hillary Clinton as being a great pick for Secty of State in the Obama cabinet. I figure he’s got an ulterior motive for saying so – he’s probably figuring that it makes it at least slightly more likely that the Republicans can pick up Hillary’s seat as the next best thing to an “open” seat in the next election.
Ron Judd had an entertaining comment yesterday regarding UCLA’s visit to the U.W. on Saturday:
“Showing his oft-noted humanitarian side, UCLA Bruins Coach Rick Neuheisel brought the latest college football program he is insidiously poisoning from the inside out to town last week and while here, said he was sorry if the University of Washington’s unfair, illegal and immoral treatment of him offended anyone in any way whatsoever.”
My daughter took me to that game, she wanted to see the last home game of the season. I really wanted the U.W. to win that one, just to get back at Neuheisel. But even though they lost, I really didn’t feel the U.W. was out of it, until halfway through the last quarter. Both teams were making so many mistakes, it was possible for the U.W. to still win it until then. But the difference in the score was that UCLA was able to capitalize on UW turnovers, the U.W. wasn’t able to return the favor. The UCLA defensive line was just manhandling the UW offensive line.
Also, it was pretty apparant that for most of the game, the UCLA offense knew exactly what the UW play was going to be. I started calling the plays in advance by reading the UCLA defense. If UCLA # 55 lined up on the left side of the line, it was a UW run toward that side. If the same player lined up on the right side, the UW ran to that side. If he lined up in the middle, the UW ran up the middle. If it was a pass play, you could tell in advance by the position of the UCLA linebackers.
