Mine’s done. Continuing a string that goes back to my first election in 1972, I couldn’t bring myself to vote for a single Republican.
I’ve given much consideration to SeattleJew’s arguments against I-1000 but in the end I voted for passage. I also voted for I-985 although for me it doesn’t go far enough. I believe HOV lanes should be either eliminated entirely or closed to all traffic except mass transit, emergency vehicles and Vanpools. Sigh! I’ll probably get slammed for that last one. Out here in Mason County I don’t get to vote on the light rail proposal. I’d vote no if given the chance.
So, Joe the six-pack plumber and Tito the screaming Tiler are too stupid to figure out that, without some middle-class tax relief real soon now, they’re going to be spending a lot of time playing pinochle with the Maytag repair man. Not exactly a resounding endorsement of John McCain and his Economic policies.
I voted for Sam Reed. Everything else was straight D’s. Voted for I-1000 & I-1029. I’m familiar with long-term care and care for adults with developmental disabilities and we need to do a better job on that front. Ranked choice voting for Pierce County Executive was interesting. Calvin Goings got the top spot.
According to the DSCC .. KENTUCKY is in play AND GA is now officially a battleground state!
From the NBC/WSJ poll released today:
“Fifty-five percent of respondents say she’s not qualified to serve as president if the need arises, up five points from the previous poll. In addition, for the first time, more voters have a negative opinion of her than a positive one. In the survey, 47 percent view her negatively, versus 38 percent who see her in a positive light.”

I think there is only one reason why I wouldn’t vote for a Democrat – and that is if their running mate was Joe Lieberman or a Jew like him. I think I would actually have to vote Republican against all my better judgment.
