EXCELLENT response to a sleaze type, unprofessional attack crap ad! Loved the part “I’m Kay Barnes and I approve this message.”
One point that I hadn’t considered was brought up by a gay poster in another message board the other day:
“…don’t forget how many states have easily passed anti-gay legislation in the last couple of years.
Bigotry (whether it’s anti-black, anti-gay, anti-hispanic, etc….) can be a strong mobilizing force in this country.”
– – –
If Obama brings out so many young people to vote perhaps it will help to take the ‘winds out of the bigotry sails’. Just hoping here.

ByeByeGOPspews:
The righties tried this a few weeks ago in the special Congressional election and got their America-hating asses kicked. They lost a seat the GOP had held for a LONG time. I hope this is what the GOP continues to do around the country. America is tired of Rovian politics. And the Dems can rely on that.

The Real Markspews:
Hey, Goldy!
How did they get a videotape of your last Drinking Liberally meeting??
Well grandma here’s the deal, this is not bigotry. You forget what real bigotry is. You were taught it as a little child and are afraid to tell us about it. Wrong association.
Many people in America are incensed over something they disagree with being rammed down their throat. But a mindless simpleton like you who can’t fathom how others think differently from you, so they must be “bigots”. Maybe this is the guns and religion crowd Obama dislikes and voted for Heilary. I see many of them exist in the Donkey Party. Yes Donkey Party, that’s your symbol. Like the Elephant is the other symbol. Didn’t someone long ago say elephants never forget?
As I’ve stated over and over and over in PuddyFact #10, what you do in your house is fine by me. If you want to donkoinfanticide by coat hanger go for it. If you want to ride the Hershey Highway go for it. If you want to use whips and chains go for it. I object when you try to teach that filth to second graders (MA School Teachers) as shown in a previous PuddyFact or you have the SF parades were you perform lewd acts on floats in from of little tykes as shown in a previous PuddyFact.
So tell me FnF, why is the native birth rate dropping in the countries which support this and the non-native birth rate climbing?
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot – I get up early in de morning and check what the Moonbat!s wrote here first unlike HAs clueless idiot who gets up and reads his marching orders from the left-wing warm white sticky man-made kool-aid sites he posts his idiotisms from.

And, as it turns out, the reason Obama drew 75,000 to “his” rally in Portland… A free 45 minute concert by The Decemberists. A band I enjoy, but I now question their politics.
But why was the presence of a this band NOT reported by the MSM? Because it would ruin the narrative. Facts and truth cannot be reported if it would conflict with the message they want to present.

Proud To Be An Assspews:
Puddy asks: “So tell me FnF, why is the native birth rate dropping in the countries which support this and the non-native birth rate climbing?”
The clear inference is this: Bold, brave, and truely superior Puddy knows the answer! But if he knows the answer, why did he ask the question? Surely, one with Puddy’s superior intellect would not stoop so low as to make fun of a political opponent!
Puddy undoubtedly has some wierd theory here, but is too coy to spew it out. Let’s hear it, Phuttbutter. Why on earth do those “non-natives” continue to pop out kids at a high rate even when exposed to these terrible influences (birth control, abortion, gay rights, sex education), but “natives” just go into a reproductive funk?
So now The Decemberists (no one but you knows who they are) are as big as Springsteen, The Rolling Stones and The Eagles?
What a reach.

Black guy dancing with two white woman – that is the best the republicans can come up with? Trying to imply what?
I love the democratic response – issues, issues, issues – the republicans have racist innuendo, name calling, divisive accusations and gay bashing but where are they on the real issues – nowhere. They have no new ideas for the energy crisis, for the environment, for education, for getting us out of Iraq or for balancing the budget. The republican brand stands for corruption and ineptness – and John McCain is the perfect standard bearer with his lobbyist ties and fumbling attempts at foreign policy.
The Stones? What…trying for the retirement home vote? Those seniors in the Dem Party belong to HRC, don’t they? Mick and the boys all qualify for the UK version of social security, they’re so old!
And I hear he’s changing some lyrics to reflect the Stones’ target demographic:

Honkey Tonk Great Grandma…

We’ll Never Make it Through the Night Together…

"Hannah"spews:
@17 – Boy was that a sarcastic comment…so nice of you. Do you treat everyone with such little respect? It’s funny how it’s not ok to “pander” to the big bad oil companies by giving them subsidies, but it’s ok to pander to the millionaire farmers who will get the most out of this bill rather than the little farmers? Which is it?

They can bad mouth dems like Frank Chopp and Ron Sims and Nancy Pelosi, but God forbid, if anyone who doesn’t have their head so far left up their ass, bad mouths anyone that is a dem. Hell some would defend a child rapist dem til they were blue in the face (BBG comes to mind)
I just cannot stand DOUBLE STANDARDS! Kinda like yesterdays bashing of Chris and MTR for bad mouthing Kennedy but not a SINGLE word about BBG wishing me and my entire family a horrible terminal cancer death. If these are the types of people on the extreme left, well now I know why the country has been overtaken for the past 8 years by the reps. Bush ordering a needless war vs. dems wishing terminal cancer painful death on innocent people?
23
correctnotrightspews:
@22: No one should wish anyone a cancer death…period. It is a horrible painful way to die. ‘nuf said.
Speaking of double standards – it is OK for the GOP to run racist ads (Willie Horton) – but because Byrd was once a KKK member that is not OK?
Oh, and who did Byrd endorse for president? We all know where the republican party goes when it is in trouble – Karl Rove and the hit machine will stoop to any level. If you want dirty politics – the republicans are the champs – political phone jamming in NH, trying to divide people by gay bashing, race baiting and other unseemly tactics.
The dems have a candidate this year who is not going to stoop to those tactics – another reason why Clinton would not be as strong a candidate – she has proven she WILL stoop.
24
"Hannah"spews:
@23 – I am not speaking about our politicians but instead of the double standards of the left and right.
Hillary is a perfect example of double standard, part of the farm bill is also, give more to the rich (just like oil subsidies).

I also do not support ANY party running age baiting or sex baiting ads.

Roger Rabbitspews:
Get ready for $7 gas
An article in today’s fishwrapper lays out the grim reality of oil prices.
The basic problem is access to reserves. In 1970, major oil companies could access 85% of global reserves; today that’s down to 7%. The reason, of course, is because governments everywhere have nationalized their reserves and the industry is now left scratching for small pools of hard-to-get oil in out-of-the-way places that can’t come close to producing enough oil to satisfy ballooning demand. Meanwhile, the countries that control large reserves aren’t motivated to boost production to make their product cheaper.
On May 5, a Lehman Brothers analyst predicted $200 oil within 2 years. This morning, crude flew right over the psychological $130 price point and kept right on going. I made over $1,500 in the stock market today before getting out of bed — partly because NOV is up $5 a share this morning. When is this going to stop?
I hate to tell you this, but it isn’t going to stop. Absolutely no one, outside our country, has any interest in helping Americans sustain our wasteful lifestyle.
Demand is expected to exceed 95 million bbls/day by 2012. Most of that growth will occur in emerging economies; U.S. consumption growth is flat. Why is demand so strong in these economies in the teeth of such high prices? After all, despite their torrid growth rates, they remain much poorer than us. Because those governments subsidize oil, blunting the impact of soaring prices on their consumers, that’s why. And they have every incentive to keep subsidizing it and no incentive to make life easier for American consumers.
Oil has viable substitutes at $40 to $60 a barrel. (You can make gasoline from coal, if you spend enough money.) Problem is, the infrastructure to produce from these sources isn’t in place, and although there’s now sufficient financial incentive to develop them, it takes decades to build up the kind of infrastructure we’re talking about.
As of today, OPEC + Russia control 83% of the world’s oil reserves. Conservatives who think America can meet its energy needs by drilling on environmentally sensitive lands don’t know what they’re talking about. The undeveloped domestic reserves in places like ANWR and coastal Florida waters are a drop in the bucket and won’t come close to satisfying our needs.
The ugly truth is that supply and price are out of our hands. The foreigners whose actions control the crude market don’t give a rap that U.S. car commuters are being financially strangled by high gas prices. They couldn’t care less if suburban Americans can’t afford their lifestyle — or can’t get to their jobs. They don’t even care if they plunge the U.S. economy into a depression, because they now have other customers for their oil.
Lots of smart people saw this coming years ago. The energy policies of the Bush administration can only be described as irrational and stupid. They gutted energy conservation programs and handed out tax breaks to people who bought gas guzzlers. American consumers were stupid, too. They rushed out to buy those gas guzzlers thinking $1 gas would last forever. And no one in this witch’s brew is dumber than the rightwing ideologues like Mark the Retard who believe they have a God-given right to burn all the gas they want and go around prattling that we have ample oil reserves right here in America and only America-hating environmentalists stand in the way of endless supplies of cheap gas. They’re wrong on both counts — dead wrong.
I hope it’s finally sinking in on you stupid rightwing bastards that profligate energy behavior is an antisocial act that harms your neighbors. It’s long past time we treated you dumbfucks like the jerks you are. If this behavior continues, we should criminalize it.
Meanwhile, America is going to change it’s energy-guzzling lifestyle and reduce its energy consumption, one way or another. If we don’t do it voluntarily on a planned basis, the market will do it to us in a chaotic and destructive manner.
$200 oil? Yeah, I think it’s gonna become a reality, and soon. $7 gas? I say it’s only two or three years away, and when it gets here, there’ll be no going back to $3 or $4 gas, not for years or decades anyway. Plan your future accordingly.
And if you rightwing fucks need someone to blame, you’d better blame yourselves, because no one did more to push us faster into this situation than you idiots.
Just think. Only two short years ago, you numbnuts were bitching about a 9 1/2 cent gas tax increase needed to keep our roads and bridges from disintegrating. While you were preoccupied with that, gas prices doubled, and are now poised to double again. What’s 9 1/2 cents? But maybe you were right — maybe all the roads and bridges that gas tax increase pays for will become superfluous, empty of traffic, useless monuments to the stupidity of America’s short-sighted rightwing morons who for years have insisted that implementing a rational national energy policy is unpatriotic.
34
YLBspews:
Yep, America is nowhere as energy efficient as Europe and Europe is not even as efficient as Japan.
I know these wingnut idiots think Europe is communist. Funny how we defended Europe all those years from real commies. Hey it makes sense in a wingnut way – defending commies from commies!
But Japan? Japan strikes me as more authoritarian than socialist although not nearly as uptight authoritarian as say Singapore.
I for one welcome the higher prices. I have faith in American ingenuity and see a lot of viable technologies that are cleaner and quieter which when developed and scaled up, we will sell to the world.
But no doubt, the ride ahead economically will be bumpy just like the seventies and eighties were. Adjustments are always hard.

Your comedy skills need work.
I used to be huge Eagles fan, then found out the true colors of some of the members. Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with their politics. Henley is famously liberal.
Seems they got greedy at the reunion time and fired Don Felder. Did a little research and lost my liking for them. Still listen to the music, but not with the same ear of love.
I do wish you would wake up. The Democrats are coming, the Democrats are coming.

Roger Rabbitspews:
@18 Farm subsidies are a product of Republican politics dating back to Eisenhower’s days.
Let’s recap: Farmers vote Republican, farm states are red states, and generations of Republican congressmen have voted for farm subsisdies.
39
Roger Rabbitspews:
Half an hour before Wall Street’s closing bell, the Dow average is down 200 points, oil is up $4 at $133 a barrel, and my $1,500 gain has evaporated — I’ve made only $62.50 in the stock market today. Of course, that’s sixty-two bucks and fifty cents I didn’t have to work for … no job, no boss, no commute, no deadlines or production quotas, no staff meetings, no office politics — I didn’t even get out of bed until 10:30 a.m., and I still get the 2/3rds discount on my taxes! I’ll take it. It still beats working for a living.
40
Roger Rabbitspews:
When oil prices go up $4 in 1 day, what do you think they’ll do in 1 year? In 5 years? You humans are finished! Evolution doomed you when it didn’t give you big feet.

@38 – Roger, so now that this farm bill has passed (pandering more to the millionair farmers) will it add more votes to the republicans? This bill was passed by more democrats than republicans, so will that give the dems more votes? Obviously this farm subsidy bill was more a dem thing.

That crooked conservative politicians should be given a pass, because this is the greatest country in the world, and people can make money if they work hard. (He didn’t explicitly say it, but the inference was however that Democratic politicians should be prosecuted within the full extent of the law, because they did not help America. )
Let met understand this, I should give a pass to corrupt Republican politicians that pander to special interests and are financially ruining the country, because I GET to work 2 jobs to cover the bills?
The conservative talking heads are hypocrites.

WASHINGTON – It almost didn’t happen at all, but much of the farm bill passed by Congress this week is good for Montana — including disaster aid for farmers, country-of-origin labeling for meats and a provision that could help head off development of privately owned land in western Montana.
The bill also would:
— Require country-of-origin labeling for fresh meats and other foods, a provision designed to help northern ranchers compete against Canada.
— Increase loan rates and target prices for wheat, barley, oats and oilseeds, starting in 2010.
— Allow some small meat plants to sell their products across state lines, a change from current policy.
— Provide incentives to farmers and ranchers who open their land to hunters and fishermen.
— Help prevent the closure of Farm Service Agency offices.
— Boost incentives for those who grow crops for energy, including money for start-up crops of camelina, a provision inserted by Montana Sen. Jon Tester.
— Increase loans for beginning farmers and ranchers.
— Boost food stamps and other nutrition programs by $10.3 billion.
Only from the choir of voices singing in that gas filled chamber in your skull.
And no one in the libtard MSM did any follow-up.
Oooh. Another MSM conspiracy.. zzzzzzzzzZZZzzzz.

@67 MLF I’ll bite…the economy and housing mess is similar to the dot com bubble…too much greed from deregulations of the banks and loose lending, yes Bush’s fault, also prior administrations fault for not tightening things down from the 80’s. Home prices have been steadily increasing at beyond inflation rates since the late 90’s; it was bound to crash sooner or later as they did in the early 80’s. The bailouts proposed and those enacted are a joke! It’s the greed of the lenders who should lose their asses, and I do not agree with bailing out homeowners who bought more than they could realistically afford.
Cost of oil…the devalued dollar is a huge factor, along with Japan, China, India and all others who are consuming more and more oil. But the big issue is the damn speculators driving the price of crude through the roof.
The war…100% Bush and his ill advisors, no doubt about it, I say pull the troops 100% immediately and if all hell breaks loose in Iraq, well what’s new, it’s been that way for centuries, we will NEVER gain peace over there. In the same token, pull out of Afghanistan as well.
I also think we should butt out of Iran, Israel and all parties involved. Not our business, let them hammer it out amongst themselves. By sticking our noses in their business, we are at risk of ending up with Iraq II.
69
Tommy Tompsonspews:

#2. Cuba has leased OUR OIL IN THE GULF to Red China. Ya say ya don’t like any drilling off our shores?!? Tough! The commies ARE SLANT DRILLING IN THE GULF! TAKING AMERICA’S OIL! That’s right. You didn’t know that did you? And like your leftist-communist friends, you HATE AMERICA so much you’ll be glad when Americans are starving.
GWB and Cheney (a SME when it comes to energy) have repeatedly warned the USA this would happen unless we took care of our own. Mass-murdering drunkards like Ted the Swimmer have DELIBERATELY PROHIBITED AMERICANS from utilizing OUR God-given resources. Pelosi, Reid, Murray, Cantwell, et al have certified our doom.
Obama’s energy policy is already in place: Turning the heat down, not being able to afford commuting to a decent paying job, living in small (VERY SMALL) houses with rationed water, food, heat and lights. This is the Marxist-socialist dream. It is coming to fruition. The decimation of America. NOT AT THE HANDS of conservatives, but at the hands of liberalism.

Yeah, there’s a little bloat in the farm bill, what’s new? There’s mostly good stuff in there and compared to how Bush and Co. Ass Fucked America it looks pretty good.

Hannah,
Pretty good answer. I have to disagree with the the “blame Bill” part of the economy answer. This is Bush’s economy. No one else’s. They failed to see, make that failed to do anything, about the orchestrated escalation of real estate prices. Now the Republicans want to blame the home buyers, when the blame should truly be laid at the feet of the banks and mortgage companies. Their practices encouraged everyone downstream to “get while the getting is good”.
82
"Hannah"spews:
@81 – MLF
I don’t “blame” Bill, but he had 8 years along with Bush Sr. had 4 prior, to correct the deregulation issues of the 80’s. This housing issue is very similar to the dot com bubble, except it is affecting the middle class harder. And I agree the majority of the blame goes to the banks and mortgage companies, but home buyers also were delusional. Are we going to bail out the people with mass credit card debt because the credit card companies just kept allowing them to use credit next? It’s a matter of choice people make.
83
Puddybudspews:
MLF: I watched show after show where these “home buyers” knew they couldn’t afford the mortgage payment when it ballooned yet they signed the bottom line anyway. And I should bail them out?
84
My Left Footspews:
Puddy, do you honestly believe that the banks and brokers did not pressure people to sign? Do you honestly believe that the banks should profit from these practices? The fine print is hard for a seasoned lawyer to decipher and you have a salesman telling you it is all standard stuff, don’t worry, just sign. I want to FORCE the banks and other mortgage holders to rewrite the loans into fixed 30 year mortgages at today’s rate. If the home buyer can’t afford the payments, using standard vetting, so be it.

Roger Rabbit spews:
YLB spews:

Amazing – when a Democrats is in power, the problems occurr overnight. But when a Republican is in power, the problems go back to way back when. What about balancing a budget. Either collect the tax or stop the spending.

Excellent analysis. Do you think hyperinflation will rescue the greedy homeowners who bought more than they can afford? It is easy to repay any size home loan, if you are using Zimbabwe dollars.

#1. In the USA (that’s what’s left of it after liberalism), there is enough oil off OUR shores and in OUR ground to fuel America to the highest living standard for decades. Tens and tens of BILLIONS of barrels.
Are you proud to see this country ruined? I know you are. ‘Cause that’s how twisted you lefties are!

MLF: Did you remember PuddyFact 163? I gave the increased oil usage from 2000-2007 for Korea, India, China, Japan and the US. Increased consumption is driving up prices. Then I gave another PuddyFact about the NYMEX people bidding up the price of oil. Who are the NYMEX people? They are the NY, NJ, and CONN blue state Donkey types. Yet you all give them a pass.

Dude, that’s off the hook.
Our oil production peaked in the early 70’s and it wasn’t because all the oil was locked up by us tree huggers.

Hannah,
Pretty good answer.
"Hannah" spews:
@81 – MLF
Puddybud spews:
MLF: I watched show after show where these “home buyers” knew they couldn’t afford the mortgage payment when it ballooned yet they signed the bottom line anyway. And I should bail them out?
My Left Foot spews:
Puddy, do you honestly believe that the banks and brokers did not pressure people to sign? Do you honestly believe that the banks should profit from these practices? The fine print is hard for a seasoned lawyer to decipher and you have a salesman telling you it is all standard stuff, don’t worry, just sign. I want to FORCE the banks and other mortgage holders to rewrite the loans into fixed 30 year mortgages at today’s rate. If the home buyer can’t afford the payments, using standard vetting, so be it.
