The BBC is formally at this time restricting viewership to the Brit public only as it’s their tax monies that funded the production of the film and/or the BBC is ill equipped or underfunded to stream the film to the entire world.
Short digression: it wasn’t very much to fund the film itself since it’s almost entirely composed of archived BBC footage. It probably cost some more to license popular music for the soundtrack. Curtis says he has a free hand to do whatever he wants as long as it doesn’t cost much.
If PBS takes an interest it may license the film for broadcast in this country. Right now I don’t see any of Curtis’ previous films available by streaming on Amazon or Hulu. I doubt his stuff is on Netflix. I do see some DVD’s of older films available on Amazon.
Oops. Almost forgot about BBC America on cable in this country. I’m sure they’ve broadcast some if not all of Curtis’ films.
