– Anyone doing anything on election night? I’ll probably mostly be at the I-594 party since they’re the people most likely to be having fun on what’ll probably be a depressing night.
– I wonder how much of the various museums’ collections are as problematic as what the Burke is returning to Peru. Still, good on the Burke for actually returning the skulls and artifacts.
– How do we deal with problematic, but still wonderful, artifacts from the past like the work of Hitchcock?
– There may be some rose colored glasses in this piece, but how Democrats and Republicans in the Washington delegation work together is going to be an interesting question going forward for DC.
– I would not have guessed some lady writing a novel would be an attraction, but I have walked by Gabriela Denise Frank writing at the library and watched her go for a while. It’s oddly inspiring, even though I’m no novelist.

Roger Rabbit’s prediction: This election’s biggest winner will be Gov. John Kasich (R) of Ohio, a potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate, whose stock just went way up. The reason? Unlike the endangered Republican governors, he accepted Obamacare Medicaid.

Sen. Al Franken (D) is re-elected in Minnesota.

Florida proves itself to be in the running to be the stupidest state in the nation by re-electing admitted fraudster Rick Scott as its governor.
MikeBoyScout spews:
Iowa shows it can be insane too electing hog castrator Joni Ernst to the US Senate. Likely Senate Majority leader, Yertle the Turtle, must be excited by the possibilities he has to lead and govern!
YLB spews:
Congratulations Republicans.. We welcome (with glee) your gloating and ugliness over this evening of defeat for America..
Oh what will you do the next two years? How many bills will you send to the President’s desk only to be vetoed? More than 50? Please make it so!
What can you do for America except make life even harder for the ordinary American just as you’ve done since 2008? If that ugly form of politics led to whatever you feel for tonight why should you do anything different to accomplish what you want for 2016?
Again congratulations. You’ve earned (many times over) your ugly gloating over this defeat for the United States of America.
And thank you very much in advance for President Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Roger Rabbit spews:
@21 It’s no longer a projection, CNN has called the Senate majority for the R’s. To answer your question, they’re going to repeal Obamacare, of course, and Obama will veto it. Then, with that out of the way, they’ll get to work. The R’s know they’re throwing away the 2016 election if they don’t work with Obama to deal with the country’s problems. McConnell will tack to the middle where the possibility of compromise lies. At this point, Democrats should pay Cruz to thwart him.
Roger Rabbit spews:
It’s not all bleak. The R’s have nowhere near enough Senate votes to override vetoes. Either they work with Obama, or nothing gets done for 2 years and they get the blame. They’d better use the opportunity while they have it, because the Senate almost certainly will flip back to the D’s in 2016.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Walker won in Wisconsin. Damn. LePage has pulled ahead again in Maine, double damn, but that one’s not over yet.
Roger Rabbit spews:
Looks like the R’s are winning most of the night’s big races. They’re doing better than the polls indicated they would. ABC’s commentators are calling it a “bloodbath.”
Roger Rabbit spews:
In Washington State races:
I-1351 on K-12 education appears to have lost.
I-591 against gun restrictions lost.
I-594 for background checks won.
Congress: Incumbents re-elected, Kilmer elected, Didier lost.
Legislature: Shelton re-elected; Chopp gets 84% of the vote.
stop your f***ing whining spews:
Keep whining Libs. That ought to get you more votes in 2016.
Kasich & Christie look like GOP front-runners. The Dems overplayed the race card, the war on women and failed to govern when they had the chance. Jamming thru Obamacare filled with holes & errors was the beginning of the end. Obama will go down as the worst President ever. And Reid/Pelosi…petty fools who blew a golden opportunity to govern because of their pettiness.
The R’s need to govern. First Bill ought to be Keystone Pipeline. Then Bill clearly stating what Obama originally said..that no one can lose their current health care policy because of Obamacare.
Then they must immediately hold hearings on Bengazi, Fast & furious and Obama’s abuse of Executive Orders.
