Yesterday I poked fun at my beer-buddy Stefan for posting the following paranoid fantasy:
I heard a story from an informed source that someone walked into a polling place in Bellevue and stuffed a bunch of “flood ballots” into an Accuvote. They have lawyers looking into this.
Well, KCRE has finished its investigation, and it turns out that Stefan was right: somebody did stuff a bunch of ballots into an Acuvote. Um… into the slot on the side of the cart, that is. You know, the one where you are supposed to stuff absentee and provisional ballots.
The Republican poll worker who reported the incident insisted that this was suspicious because one person shouldn’t have had more than one ballot, but of course one can easily imagine a circumstance where somebody might gather up absentee ballots from family, neighbors or co-workers, and drop them off at a polling station or a post office.
So I guess, where there’s smoke there’s, um, smoke.

Chamberlain’s political legacy is defined by his dealings with and appeasement of Nazi Germany. He signed the Munich Agreement with Adolf Hitler in 1938 which effectively allowed Germany to annex the Sudetenland, leaving Czechoslovakia vulnerable to German attack, one of the steps on the road to World War II. Chamberlain remained in office during the Phony War, from September 1939 to May 1940, but resigned the premiership immediately after Germany invaded the Netherlands, Belgium and France. He had a key role in the formation of the Special Operations Executive, but he died of cancer six months after leaving office.

Dear Klake,
We have so much to celebrate, so much to talk about, and so much to work on in the days and weeks ahead. But, let me start by sharing just two words with you.
Thank you.
My colleagues in the new Democratic majority – in both the House and the Senate – are in a position to lead America in a new direction and we wouldn’t have this opportunity without your energy, dedication and commitment. The DCCC community, who stayed engaged day after day, who responded every time we were in need, was the heart and soul of this effort.
I want you to know that I fully appreciate the humbling responsibility that you have given to me and to all Democrats. If I am elected Speaker by my colleagues, I will take the Speaker’s gavel from the special interests and place it in the hands of the children for the future of our country. Democrats are ready to lead and prepared to govern. We will take our country in a new direction. We could not have done it without you.
Your support and your partnership will be even more crucial in the period ahead than they were during all the excitement of the 2006 campaign. Together, we can set a new course for America. Nowhere did the American people make it clearer that we need a new direction than in the war in Iraq. We are committed to finding a new solution to Iraq, but we know that actions speak louder than words.
That’s why we will go forward with our “Six for ’06” agenda:
To make our country safer by implementing the 9/11 commission recommendations
To make our economy fairer
To make college and health care more affordable
To move toward energy independence
To guarantee a dignified retirement
To do this in a fiscally sound way with civility, integrity, and bipartisanship.
That’s the kind of tangible progress that you have brought within reach by devoting yourself so enthusiastically to supporting the work of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
I’ve received hundreds of emails in the last few days congratulating me and the DCCC — thank you, and congratulations to you as well. You were a part of history, and we would not have a new direction in America without you. Thank you for all you have done and for all that I know you will do as we work side-by-side to lead America forward.
With deep appreciation,

PEORIA-BLOOMINGTON, IL – There was a little bit of confusion this morning for voters in two precincts who vote at the same location in Tazewell County.
When voters turned out first thing this morning at Cross Point Church in Groveland to vote in the 3rd and 11th precincts, the election judge initially would not let people vote, saying a race was left off the ballots.
There was confusion over where the dividing line is for the 46th District and which race they could vote for.
“It wasn’t until we had a little time to think about it that we straightened it out where the line was and who was on which side,” says Tazewell County Election Judge Phil Webber.
It is not uncommon for several precincts to use the same polling place.
Democrat Dave Koehler and Republican Ernie Russell are vying to win the 46th District State Senate seat previously held by George Shadid who is retiring.

Pearson says the church did not want to comply with the state’s requirements that voters be given a fair and impartial place to vote on election day.
Pearson says her office has mailed out different voter registration cards with the location of their new polling place to every resident the change effects.
If you have any questions about where you should vote on Nov. 7, you can call the Pennington County Auditor’s office.

I think this was telling… and so was your reference to Chaimberlain…
The man who sees absolutes where all other men see nuances and shades of meaning is either a prophet or a quack. Donald H. Rumsfeld is not a prophet.
Dissent and disagreement with government is the life’s blood of human freedom, not merely the first roadblock against the kind of tyranny the men Mr. Rumsfeld likes to think of as his troops still fight this very evening in Iraq. It is also essential, because just every once in a while, it is right and the power to which it speaks is wrong.
In a small irony however, Mr. Rumsfeld’s speech writer was adroit in invoking the memory of the appeasement of the Nazis for in their time, there was another government faced with true peril with a growing evil – powerful, and remorseless.
That government, like Mr. Rumsfeld’s, had a monopoly on all the facts. It too had the secret information, it alone had the true picture of the threat. It too, dismissed and insulted its critics in terms like Mr. Rumsfeld’s. Questioning their intellect and their morality.
That government was England’s in the 1930s. It knew Hitler posed no true threat to Europe, let alone to England. It knew Germany was not rearming in violation of all treaties. It knew that the hard evidence it had received, which contradicted its own policies, its own conclusions, its own omniscience, needed to be dismissed.
The English government of Neville Chamberlain already knew the truth. Most relevant of all, it knew that its staunchest critics needed to be marginalized and isolated, in fact it portrayed the foremost of them as a bloodthirsty warmonger who was, if not truly senile, at best morally or intellectually confused. That critic’s name was Winston Churchill.
Thus did Mr. Rumsfeld make an apt historical analogy excepting the fact that he has the battery plugged in backwards. His government – absolute and exclusive in its knowledge – is not the modern version of the one which stood up to the Nazis. It is the modern version of the government of Neville Chamberlain.
But back to today’s omniscient ones, that about what Mr. Rumsfeld is confused is simply this: This is a democracy, still, sometimes just barely and as such, all voices count, not just his. Had he or his president perhaps proven any of their prior claims of omniscience, about Osama bin Laden’s plans five years ago, about Saddam Hussein’s weapons four years ago, about Hurricane Katrina’s impact one year ago, we all might be able to swallow hard and accept their omniscience as a bearable, even useful recipe of fact plus ego.
But to date, this government has proved little besides its own arrogance and its own hubris. And yet he can stand up in public and question the morality and the intellect of those of us who dare ask just for the receipt for the emperor’s new clothes.
In what country was Mr. Rumsfeld raised? On what side of the battle for freedom did he dream one day to fight? With what country has he confused the United States of America?
The confusion is about whether this secretary of defense and this administration are in fact now accomplishing what they claim the terrorists seek, the destruction of our freedoms, the very ones for which the same veterans Mr. Rumsfeld addressed in Salt Lake City so valiantly fought.
And about Mr. Rumsfeld’s other main assertion that this country faces a new type of fascism as he was correct to remind us how a government that knew everything could get everything wrong. So too was he right when he said that.
Though probably not in the way he thought he meant. This country faces a new type of fascism, indeed.
“We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty,” (Edward R. Murrow warned in 1954). “We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men, not from men who fear to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were, for the moment, unpopular. And so, good night and good luck.”

COSTA MESA, Calif. — Student leaders at a community college voted to drop the Pledge of Allegiance after a tense meeting in which one flag-waving pledge supporter berated them as anti-American radicals.
Orange Coast College’s student trustees voted Wednesday not to recognize the pledge, with three of the five board members saying it should be dropped from their meetings.
Board member Jason Ball argued that the pledge inspires nationalism, violates the separation between church and state with the phrase “under God,” and is irrelevant to the business of student government. He cited a 2002 San Francisco federal appeals court ruling — later dismissed by the Supreme Court on a technicality — that the pledge is unconstitutional when recited in public schools.
Sophomore Chris Belanger, one of several students who attended the meeting to support keeping the pledge, waved an American flag and accused the board of “radical views and anti-Americanism.”
Coast Community College District spokeswoman Martha Parham said the decision was up to the students.
“They run their own show, so to speak,” she said.

Sydney: Prime Minister John Howard underscored his strong support for the Iraq war on Friday, saying pulling troops out of Iraq in circumstances that would be seen as a defeat would be an “enormous blow” to the United States and Australia.
But some observers have warned that Howard’s resolute support of the Iraq war in the wake of the US midterm elections could damage his popularity ahead of elections next year.
Howard, who calls US President George W. Bush a close friend and has been unwavering in his support of the war despite widespread opposition in Australia, acknowledged that the Cong-ressional election results signalled dissatisfaction with the situation in Iraq.
“It would be an enormous blow to American prestige and it serves us nothing to see America humiliated, particularly given the importance of the US in our region with all the challenges we face with countries like North Korea,” he said.
Howard said most Australians also were against the war, but “I don’t believe the majority of Australians are in favour of getting out in a precipitous way.”
“They do recognise and accept that if the coalition leaves Iraq in circumstances which is seen as a defeat that would be incredibly bad for American authority and that in turn would be very bad for Australia,” Howard said.
Australia sent 2,000 troops to the March 2003 invasion, and currently maintains around 1,300 troops in the Middle East.

All these schools, despite being recognised by the government, function illegally from residential areas.
About 70 of them were initially sealed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) but were allowed to function as the Supreme Court has fixed January 31 as the deadline for them to file affidavits to shift out on their own to escape sealing.
Out of about 2,000 private schools in the metropolis, only 382 exist legally on land allocated by various government agencies.
If these schools are ultimately sealed, careers of about 800,000 students enrolled with them may be jeopardised since parents may find it difficult to admit them elsewhere due to paucity of good schools in the city.

The National Guard are required to provide services for emergencies like Katrina, WTO, Fires, and provide support for disasters in other parts of the world. This fine ladies and gentlemen work for the Governor and the President of the United States. The Reservist provides services for the active units that are in harm’s way. The comment, made last week, was part of a tape sent to clients by the agency. A US Hispanic channel played the remark, which was then picked up by Mexican television and radio stations.

Washington and London: Al Qaida may be planning to attack rail and air travel in Europe – possibly targeting the busy holiday travel season – according to intelligence findings, the “CBS Evening News” reported on Friday.
The report, citing Arab and other intelligence sources, said interrogations of Al Qaida suspects who recently left Afghanistan and Pakistan raised the concerns.
“One suspect said plans for repeating the Heathrow attempt (a plot foiled in August to bomb trans-Atlantic airplanes) were all prepared,” the network quoted an Arab official as saying.
“It is now a matter of taking action … Al Qaida’s strategy appears to be raising the pressure in Europe,” the official, who requested anonymity, told the network.
The report came as Britain’s intelligence agency, MI5, said on Thursday that Muslim extremists were plotting at least 30 major terrorist attacks in Britain, and the threats may involve chemical and nuclear devices.
Britain suffered its worst peacetime attack in July 2005 when four British Islamists blew themselves up on London’s transport network, killing 52 commuters and wounding hundreds.
In Lodon, Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Friday that Britain faces a terror threat that will “last a generation,” after a spy chief warned of nearly 30 ongoing plots to kill and damage the economy.
Blair backed comments by the head of the MI5 domestic intelligence agency, Dame Eliza Manningham-Buller, who revealed that her agents were tracking over 1,600 suspects from 200 groups, most with Al Qaida ties.
“I think she is absolutely right in saying that it will last a generation,” said Blair, referring to the MI5’s chiefs comments made in a speech on Thursday.
“This terror threat is very real,” he added.
Blair said the terror threat could only be combated by tough security measures and “taking on and combating the poisonous propaganda of those people that warp and pervert minds, particularly of younger people.”
“It’s a very long and deep struggle, but we’ve got to stand up and be counted,” he said.
Manningham-Buller’s assessment, made in a rare public speech, came after a Muslim convert was jailed for life this week for plotting to kill thousands of people in devastating attacks in Britain and the United States.
Dhiren Barot, 34, who will serve at least 40 years behind bars after being convicted on Tuesday, planned suicide attacks involving a radioactive “dirty bomb”.
Head of counter-terrorism at London’s Metropolitan Police, Peter Clarke, has said that thousands of British Muslims were under surveillance for direct or indirect involvement in terrorism.
Dame Pauline Neville-Jones, chair of the Joint Intelligence Committee, which provides intelligence assessments to the government, said the days were “long gone” when governments could withhold such information from the public.
“It’s not what you know, it’s what you don’t know,” she said.

The third part of the plan is to take the money they’ve stolen from U.S taxpayers away from them. The fourth part of the plan is to draw our troops back to a friendly area (Kurdistan)where they can regain their strength and morale and be there to do what we really sent them there to do: Protect our oil interests. The fifth part of the plan is to get our reserve forces back home and put them in “reserve” for emergencies (like Katrina).

Ho Chi Minh City: Three Vietnamese-born US citizens were sentenced yesterday to 15 months imprisonment and ordered deported on charges of plotting violence against the Communist-run Vietnam government.
The sentences of the three, who have been detained since September last year, included the 14 months already served, so they would expect to be deported to the United States in December.
Judge Vu Phi Long in Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court issued the 15-month sentence and ordered them to be expelled within 10 days of finishing their prison terms.
The one-day trial included a Florida resident, Nguyen Thuong Cuc, 58, whose detention has drawn criticism from her supporters in the United States before President George W. Bush visits Vietnam next week for an Asia-Pacific summit.
US embassy officials in Hanoi declined comment.
Four other defendants, who include a US resident of Vietnamese descent and three Vietnamese living in Vietnam, received the same sentence and were ordered to be put under house arrest for three years when they complete their sentences.
Cuc, who goes by the name of Thuong Nguyen Foshee in her Orlando, Florida home, has close ties with Bush’s Republican Party. The seven defendants were charged last week with “terrorist activities”. These included bomb plots, delivering leaflets and jamming radio stations, prosecutors said.

Hong Kong: Thousands of Chinese villagers clashed with riot police after barricading officials and foreign businessmen in a warehouse they said has been built on illegally seized land, media reported on Friday.
The clash erupted on Wednesday near Shunde, in the southern province of Guangdong, during the opening of the warehouse, which villagers said had been built on land grabbed by officials and sold off to developers, Hong Kong’s Apple Daily said.
The villagers only began to disperse the next morning when police used tear gas.
Hong Kong Cable TV showed footage of protesters in Sanzhou village in Guangdong province throwing rocks and sticks at the riot police on Thursday as clouds of tear gas blew through the crowd. An unspecified number of villagers were injured, the Ming Pao Daily News reported.
The villagers, who have been protesting corruption for months, on Wednesday surrounded a warehouse they said was built on land that was illegally seized and sold to developers, the South China Morning Post reported, quoting unidentified villagers.

Folk’s maybe the Church of Liberalism should jump on this band wagon.
London: A religious think tank provoked an impassioned debate in Britain on Friday by urging churches to promote white poppies alongside red ones for Remembrance Day because they were more Christian.
The group, Ekklesia, said that the wearing of the traditional red poppy had become “politically correct” and public figures wore it almost as “an article of faith” to mark Remembrance Day.
But Jonathan Bartley, the co-director of the think tank, said people should have a choice and not feel that they would be vilified for wearing the white version.
He argued that the red version implied that redemption could come through war, but the white one reflected Christian values of non-violence.
“Christians believe that injustice and violence was exposed, challenged, rendered powerless and defeated on the cross,” he said. “The white poppy, too, suggests that redemption should come through non-violent sacrifice, not the military variety.”
But he was criticized for misunderstanding the red poppy, which the Royal British Legion described as “a symbol of the need to reflect on the human cost of war”.
Red poppies have been worn on lapels since the aftermath of the First World War to honor those who died in battle. The flower was chosen because it flourished in the fields of Flanders where millions of soldiers perished.
But Bartley said that there was political correctness surrounding its use, and he compared its acceptance to the recent row over the displaying of religious symbols such as crosses in public.

As the investigations begin more light will be shone on the sleazy, no bid, corrupt, insane, dishonest, disgusting, hypocritical, pathetic Republican traitors. Heck, they can’t even bear to see pictures of flag draped coffin, after flag drapted coffin coming home, much less the blasted bodies of innocent Iraqis.
The Republicans are so morally bankrupt that it may seem like the Democrats could be picking on them, so they may have some sort of sympathy from uninformed Americans that they don’t deserve.
My suggestion Mr. Conyers…. Go slow. Be mythodical. Leave the rhetoric out of the process, and let the facts speak for themselves. The Republicans manufactured, and used enough rope to hang themselves many times over. Their dirty deeds have been done. Now it is time to document them. All of them.

This fine ladies and gentlemen work for the Governor and the President of the United States. The Reservist provides services for the active units that are in harm’s way. All Federal owned military components are not allowed to provide the services to the State without the President approval and the Governor blessings. “he Posse Comitatus Act, passed in 1878, prohibits the military from enforcing civil criminal law within the United States. But recent congressional acts granting exceptions to Posse Comitatus have altered the manner in which the armed forces may assist law enforcement. Active-duty soldiers can be employed to respond to a domestic crisis when a state, usually through its governor, requests a presidential declaration of a state of emergency. Once a state of emergency is declared, military forces are under the direction of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief Act of 1984, as amended in 1988 (42 US Code Section 5121 et seq.), commonly referred to as the Stafford Act, is the authority under which such assistance is provided.”

Barbara Cubin, Wyoming’s lone Representative, is one of those pro-life nutjob embarrassments that makes even staunch Republican voters blanch.
In the primary, a GOP challenger who spent almost no money got 39% against her (which is better than McGavick did in WA after spending millions on attack ads against Sen. Maria Cantwell).
Wikipedia details a few of Cubin’s more outrageous gaffes:
“On April 7, 2003, Cubin said on the House floor, ‘My sons are 25 and 30. They are blond-haired and blue-eyed. One amendment today said we could not sell guns to anybody under drug treatment. So does that mean if you go into a black community, you cannot sell a gun to any black person, or does that mean because my …’ Representative Melvin Watt, (D-N.C.), who is black, interrupted and demanded that Cubin retract the statement. Cubin … maintained that her comment was within House rules.”
“Cubin once startled a group of GOP donors during a speech on energy policy by interjecting, ‘I know what Victoria’s Secret is. She’s a slut.'”
“During the Florida presidential recount in 2000, Cubin complained at a Republican leadership meeting, ‘We are bending over and taking it from the Democrats.’ When a colleague objected to her language, she replied, ‘Quiet down, or you’ll get a spanking.'”
“While serving in the Wyoming legislature, Cubin distributed penis-shaped cookies … to several male colleagues.”
“The Wyoming Democratic Party has repeatedly called for Cubin to return the $22,520 she received from Tom DeLay’s Americans for a Republican Majority political action committee (ARMPAC). The party noted, ‘It’s clear that Barbara Cubin will do anything and everything to raise money, but the great irony is more and more people in Wyoming are seeing her transparent efforts and that’s why she’s forced continually to turn to out-of-state PACs for contributions.’ On July 23, 2006 the Star-Tribune reported Cubin ‘will keep the money she received from former Rep. Tom DeLay’s fundraising committee even though the organization has been fined for campaign finance violations and is shutting down.’ … As of October 2006, Cubin’s position was that she will return the money if DeLay is convicted.”
“On October 22, 2006, after a televised debate with Democratic candidate Gary Trauner and Libertarian candidate Thomas Rankin, Cubin approached Rankin, who has multiple sclerosis and is a wheelchair user. … Cubin said, ‘If you weren’t sitting in that chair, I’d slap you across the face.’ Cubin does not deny the remark, but in a prepared statement, a spokesman said that Rankin ‘misrepresented her … and insulted her integrity during the debate.’ Rankin denies that, and accuses Cubin of a slur against people with disabilities. The Billings Gazette reported that Cubin ‘later apologized, saying she may have been influenced by listening to too much Rush Limbaugh.'”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Cubin
Roger Rabbit Commentary: We still have work to do, my friends. The job isn’t finished. It appears likely that both Jeanne Schmidt and Barbara Cubin will be returning to Congress. If so, let’s defeat them in 2008. There is no place in our government for either of them.

TIME MAGAZINE: GERMANY MAY PROSECUTE RUMSFELD & OTHER U.S. OFFICIALS
“Just days after his resignation, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is about to face more repercussions for his involvement in the troubled wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“New legal documents, to be filed next week with Germany’s top prosecutor, will seek a criminal investigation and prosecution of Rumsfeld, along with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, former CIA director George Tenet and other senior U.S. civilian and military officers, for their alleged roles in abuses committed at Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison and at the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
“The plaintiffs in the case include 11 Iraqis who were prisoners at Abu Ghraib, as well as Mohammad al-Qahtani, a Saudi held at Guantanamo, whom the U.S. has identified as the so-called “20th hijacker” and a would-be participant in the 9/11 hijackings. …
” … German law provides ‘universal jurisdiction’ allowing for the prosecution of war crimes and related offenses that take place anywhere in the world … a similar, but narrower, legal action was brought in Germany in 2004, which also sought the prosecution of Rumsfeld. The case provoked an angry response from Pentagon, and Rumsfeld himself was reportedly upset. Rumsfeld’s spokesman at the time, Lawrence DiRita, called the case a ‘a big, big problem.’ U.S. officials made clear the case could adversely impact U.S.-Germany relations …
“In Germany, investigations are under way in parliament concerning cooperation between the CIA and German intelligence on rendition — the kidnapping of suspected terrorists and their removal to third countries for interrogation. My understanding is, that a European prosecutor actually has to exercise reason and judgment, according to the law, and determine whether there is justifiable cause to prosecute a given proposed criminal case. If the prosecutor determines such cause exists, they have to prosecute it. Whereas in the United States, the district attorney or equivalent officer can just take a private citizen’s request to prosecute an alleged offense and say “go to hell” and that is the end of it.

I don’t claim to be a comparative law expert, but that’s also my understanding.
Roger Rabbit spews:
German courts can assert jurisdiction, but I wonder how they intend to enforce their jurisdiction. Presumably the U.S. — at least while Bush remains in office — would not extend comity to their judicial process nor extradite Rumsfeld and the others. However, it could deter Rumsfeld from traveling outside the U.S., lest he find himself in a country more willing to cooperate with German authorities.

Webb’s Rally [Jonah Goldberg]
Good stuff, from a reader:
They had to run that clip because the much of the rest of his speech was an absolute riot.
He started off by mentioning that “tomorrow is an extremely important day for America,” and the crowd went wild, thinking he was talking about taking power. But of course, he launched into his praise of the Marine Corps, and the crowd cheered a little less loudly. Then he thanked all the brave veterans and brave men still fighting, and the crowd cheered a little less loudly again.
Then he mentioned that he received a call from Sen. Allen, and the crowd went nuts again. Then he mentioned how pleasant and dignified Allen was, and the crowd grew quiet. Then he said he was having lunch next week with Allen — and the crowd was dead silent. Finally he told the audience that they should all thank Sen./Gov. Allen for his many years of dedicated service to the people of Virginia — and you could almost hear the people gathered looking at each other asking, “What the $#@! did we just do?”
Can you say priceless?

Amazing! The Washington Post now prints this stuff it most recently supressed. Remember I posted links scoffed by IDIOTS like clueless because “it’s not from the MSM”.

Well Prince Moonbat Clueless this is the Lubrul MSM and finally the truth is appearing and you CAN”T refute it. Moonbat moron!
Mike Web SUUUUUUCKS spews:
Now that moonbats are in charge the telling paragraphs are for people like Clueless:
“Khamenei said military maneuvers in the Gulf this week in which Iranian forces tested new missile systems showed Iran was ready to face any threat.
But, he said: “With the scandalous defeat of America’s policies in Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and Afghanistan, America’s threats are empty threats on an international scale.””
Yes a moonbat congress makes our supression of terrorism moot to Iran. Good job clueless and Goldie moonbats. Now you have to live with how they see donk. Worthless in deed and action!

ttp://decision08.net/2006/11/10/with-or-without-dean/
Gosh the suppressed real democratic face appears within hours of victory. Too funny!
This is sooooooooooo true moonbats: “The Republicans – who, predictably enough, are not blaming their losses on machines, faulty polling, evil elections officials, and who are not suing county elections officials big time, and who are not bringing in rhyming reverends to point out how stupid the electorate is by damning chads and ballot designs, and who are not demanding fifteen recounts in every close precinct, are quietly licking their wounds and considering what to do differently next time to win.”
Mike Web SUUUUUUCKS spews:
Why is Nancy Pelosi implementing party purity tests? You moonbats claimed on neocons did this!
Look at what Pelosi is doing to Jane Harman, fellow moonbat from California? She is ostracizing her, and she supports California’s defense industry and the defense industry supports Harman. Can you say union votes moonbats? What happens if Harman gets replaced by impeached judge Alcee Hastings? Can you say more red votes in California in 2008?
If moonbats only thought through their knee-jerk reactions. This can be used as cannon fodder in 2008. Harman is well respected in the defense community.
Proud Leftist: More original thought from a cut-and-paster? Absolutely! All you are is a cuss-and-pisser!
Mike Web SUUUUUUCKS spews:
To help clueless understand party purity, Carville is supporting Harold Ford. Kos is against it.
Carvlle a real Clinton Moonbat! said on the November 10:”Suppose Harold Ford became chairman of the DNC? How much more money do you think we could raise? Just think of the difference it could make in one day. Now probably Harold Ford wants to stay in Tennessee. I just appointed myself his campaign manager.”
So I guess Markos Moulitsas is against Ford, handsome single black man (my wife said that when she first saw him deliver his concession speech) who is not only pro-life and anti-institutionalized gay marriage but he’s – gasp, cough, hack, wheeze – VERY RELIGIOUS? And YES this is the man Goldie looks up to. Has his head far up Markos Moulitsas’ ass that Markos doesn’t need to shit. Goldie eats it for him!

The raging Snohomish River blasted a 30-foot hole through the French Slough levee Tuesday evening, prompting evacuations and highway closures and realizing the worst fears of Snohomish County emergency officials.
Highway 9 is closed indefinitely near Snohomish after floodwaters poured into the valley from the levee breach just south of Snohomish city limits.
U.S. 2 was closed in two locations Tuesday, with no detours, cutting off one of the major routes to Eastern Washington.
Showers and partly cloudy conditions are likely today, according to the National Weather Service. The prediction eases to “rain likely” tonight and Thursday. Heavier rain could return Thursday night and Friday with more rain on and off through Sunday.

“Letter Of Apology”
“For good and ill, the Iraqi prisoner abuse mess will remain an issue. On the one hand, right thinking Americans will abhor the stupidity of the actions while on the other hand, political glee will take control and fashion this minor event into some modern day My Lai massacre.
I heard some Arabs are asking for an apology. I humbly offer mine here:
I am sorry that the last seven times we Americans took up arms and sacrificed the blood of our youth; it was in the defense of Muslims (Bosnia, Kosovo, Gulf War 1, Kuwait, etc.).
I am sorry that no such call for an apology upon the extremists came after 9/11.
I am sorry that all of the murderers on 9/11 were Arabs.
I am sorry that Arabs have to live in squalor under savage dictatorships. I am sorry that their leaders squander their wealth.
I am sorry that their governments breed hate for the US in their religious schools.
I am sorry that Yasser Arafat was kicked out of every Arab country and hijacked the Palestinian “cause.”
I am sorry that no other Arab country will take in or offer more than a token amount of financial help to those same Palestinians.
I am sorry that the USA has to step in and be the biggest financial supporter of poverty stricken Arabs while the insanely wealthy Arabs blame the USA.
I am sorry that our own left wing elite and our media can’t understand any of this.
I am sorry the United Nations scammed the poor people of Iraq out of the “food for oil” money so they could get rich while the common folk suffered.
I am sorry that some Arab governments pay the families of homicide bombers upon their death.
I am sorry that those same bombers are seeking 72 virgins. I can’t seem to find one here on Earth.
I am sorry that the homicide bombers think babies are a legitimate target.
I am sorry that our troops died to free more Arabs.
I am sorry they show so much restraint when their brothers in arms are killed. I am sorry that Muslim extremists have killed more Arabs than any other group.
I am sorry that foreign trained terrorists are trying to seize control of Iraq and return it to a terrorist state.
I am sorry we don’t drop a few dozen “Daisy Cutters” on Fallujah. (Note: a “Daisy Cutter” is a 10,000 lb bomb, used to clear helicopter landing zones)
I am sorry every time terrorists hide they find a convenient “Holy Site”.
I am sorry they didn’t apologize for driving a jet into the World Trade Center that collapsed and severely damaged Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church – one of our Holy Sites.
I am sorry they didn’t apologize for flight 93 and 175, the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, etc.
I am sorry Michael Moore is American; he could feed a medium sized village in Africa.
I am sorry the French are French?
America will get past this latest absurdity. We will punish those responsible because that is what we do. We hang out our dirty laundry for the entire world to see. We move on. That’s one of the reasons we are hated so much. We don’t hide this stuff like all those Arab countries that are now demanding an apology.
Deep down inside, when most Americans saw this reported in the news, we were like – so what? We lost hundreds and made fun of a few prisoners. Sure, it was wrong, sure, it dramatically hurts our cause, but until captured we were trying to kill these same prisoners. Now we’re supposed to wring our hands because a few were humiliated? Our compassion is tempered with the vivid memories of our own people killed, mutilated and burnt amongst a joyous crowd of celebrating Fallujans.
If you want an apology from this American, you’re going to have a long wait. You have a better chance of finding those 72 virgins.”

It’s worse than just citing wingnut sources; they’re flat-out wrong, probably intentionally. Doughy Pantload (Jonah Goldberg) lied about the Webb rally. You can watch it here. The events described in the alleged e-mail didn’t happen.
Also, if you want to find out Doughy Pantload’s views on the troops, check out what he had to say when he was asked why he won’t volunteer for military service.
Another TJ spews:
Doughy Pantload believes that only those who are less important (and in better shape) than he believes he is should serve in the military:
“As for why my sorry a** isn’t in the kill zone, lots of people think this is a searingly pertinent question. No answer I could give — I’m 35 years old, my family couldn’t afford the lost income, I have a baby daughter, my a** is, er, sorry, are a few — ever seem to suffice.”
That’s right. The Doughy One believes that only single, childless, non-doughy losers join the military.
