Pramila Jayapal (D-Seattle) sent staff within the campaign a letter threatening to strike, demanding compensation for their work. All counties benefit when home prices go up and the county can raise property assessments to match the new value. That still takes some time. Also the county reluctantly may have to lower property assessment should home values go down, and there is likely to be even more time before that happens.
