There are serious credibility problems right from the jump. Then there are rather serious factual discrepancies in the complaint. It puzzles me that the plaintiff’s atty chose to include some of those very specific details in the complaint. That those details do not match the readily observable (albeit embarrassingly private) facts of the Mayor’s anatomy make it just plain bizarre. I’m not a gambler. @4 Trial? Not very likely. The case will be settled out of court, unless the plaintiff drops it or he and his attorneys run out of resources. It may die should the mayor drop out of the race, probably won’t be right away, but a week or two after he drops out. Just like 97% of civil cases never go to trial. Sure the case could go to trial, but my guess is a settlement where the public does not know anything more than we do now.
@6 Why not explain to them the difference between criminal and civil court. It’s a civil suit, not a criminal matter. There was a complaint filed in the 80s against Mr. Murray, but it was dropped and well on the criminal side at least there is statute of limitations. So at this point it’s just about money, assuming the plaintiffs attorney can overcome the tolling of the bell on the civil side.
Of course you don’t know if Trump is guilty or innocent of the charges you are leveling against him. As an attorney you should give him the same level of judgment you are giving Murray. No one is guilty of a crime in these United States until the person is judged guilty in a court of law presumable by a jury of their peers. Assuming that if the President does it it’s not illegal might actually be true to some degree. Guess that depends a bit on how popular the President is with the House and Senate of the United States. As it ain’t a high crime or misdemeanor unless the House says it is and brings about charges and the Senate then impeaches, which means only then can the former President face charges in the judicial system. And could be found innocent.

The fact is the Mayor’s doctor did the examination, and may or may not have provided photos to the other side. I wouldn’t argue they were equally unqualified to be president. Hoover and Harding made bad decisions, but they weren’t criminals as Nixon was. I wouldn’t even call them “unqualified” to be president, at least not in the sense Trump is, because all three were experienced politicians who knew how the political process works and had a lot of background in public policy. Nixon was well qualified for the presidency in terms of knowledge and experience, but this was negated by his profound character flaws. None of these presidents suffered from Trump’s ignorance or inexperience. My judgment of them is based on Hoover’s and Harding’s policy errors, and Nixon’s criminal actions, not their party affiliation.
