I’m sitting pretty in 3rd at the moment, but today’s prospects are glum, with Portis likely to sit the game out for the Redskins. Hoping my other guys come up big.

They could win the Apple Cup, especially since it’s in Pullman. Did you see this?

Saw it, and it’s fucking nuts. The only way Gregoire would be responsible for the Huskies sucking would be if she was the one that fired Slick Rick Neuheisel.
And on that subject, do you think Tyrone Willingham will ever get the opportunity to coach at a school where he doesn’t have the alumni breathing down his neck? The Tyee Club are (IMHO) completely to blame for his downfall, placing too many expectations on him while demanding immediate results. Which is what he endured at Notre Dame.

I’m not sure what’s going to happen with Willingham next. I have to think that he deserves at least some of the blame for the sorry state of the team, but I don’t follow too closely.
But yeah, he was definitely screwed by the boosters at ND.

Oh, he’s not blameless himself, but the boosters are a more serious problem. That, and the shitty TV deal with FSNW. UW is going through the same tailspin that a lot of traditional powers have gone through over the last 10 years or so, like Nebraska, Alabama, Miami, Penn State, Notre Dame et al. Now Michigan is going through the wringer. How the teams manage the lean times and recover is proportionate to the boosters letting coaches coach and recruit and not meddling.

Hate to say it, but as long as USC rules, and I bet Neuheisel will do the trick with UCLA, Washington will always be a 2nd banana in the Pac 10, sure they may win some title but it will be far and few between. No decent West Coast recruit will want to play in Seattle if LA beckons, hell even the Bay Area and Arizona are more attractive, than the cold and rainy Northwest.
Perhaps the Pac 10 ought to drop the Washington Schools and bring in UNLV and Hawaii(JUST KIDDING!!)

Pretty dismal. I am sitting in 6th place.
My QB Brett Favre pulled out a win Thursday. Normally good news, but they pulled it out AGAINST the Patriots which I have for my primary defense.

Yep, the perils of a bad rooting situation. :)
Right now, I’m 6-4 in both of my leagues, and I get Reggie Bush back probably next week.

My fantasy would be the Cougs winning.
