Friend of the blog Fake Ted Van Dyk is moving to Bellingham, as is his real counterpart. To celebrate, he tweeted a bunch of tweets. I’ve collected them here.
I'm moving to Bellingham so I can make a run for the border if there's another Clinton as president. http://t.co/qhnGf2Zxod

— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
I'm moving to Bellingham because the Seattle City Council refuses to take my idea for a law banning anyone under 40 from the city seriously.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
I'm moving to Bellingham because the mess I helped make of Highway 99 is really terrible.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015

I'm moving to Bellingham because unlike in my youth Seattle now has politicians who kowtow to developers.

— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015

— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
I look forward to joining that battle personally. Something I could never do in Seattle, obviously.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
If you're going to write a piece on how Seattle's liberalism doesn't include "big financial and economic issues" ignore the $15 minimum wage
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
Also ignore the sick leave/ safe leave law.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
Also ignore the legislators they sent to Olympia who are trying to up the minimum wage statewide.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
Also, ignore how we vote on initiatives like the statewide income tax.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
Also, ignore that Seattle elected a socialist who has been pushing economic issues.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
Also, talk condescendingly about marijuana legalization: not locking up people for minor drug offenses has no economic or financial good.
— Ted Van Dyk (@FakeTedVanDyk) April 16, 2015
In conclusion, I'm a great writer, and that was a great piece. The end!

hambot spews:
Bellingham needs more cranks. Welcome back Ted!
hambot spews:
More bike lanes coming to Alabama St. in Bellingham this summer!
better eco political theory spews:
it is awesome. And close to Vancouver, and close to Seattle.
As you get older often times things change, you want less hassle. Seattle is such a cluster right now, when we have the congestion but not hte train system to get anywhere fast, it’s like my city is shrinking. Why go downtown for a meeting at 4:30 pm if it’s now an hour to get there, used to be20 minutes? why go to capital hill for fun and games if it’s now 40 minutes to get there and then 10-20 searching parking? why go to west seattle alki if it’s now 45 minutes to get there, no longer 25, and gorgeous deception pass beach trails are 70 minutes away by car?
Libertarian spews:
Check the spelling of “Bellingham” in you title, Carl.
TomF spews:
Yo, Fake: to get the full benefit of your move, take up mountain biking. Srsly!
The Real Fake Pudge spews:
For my part, I really do hate Tensor and Demo Kid. I keep banning them and yet they’re still there. What’s up with that?
The Fake Tim Eyman spews:
“I keep banning them and yet they’re still there.”
Just edit their responses. Works for me.
Mark Adams spews:
Ummm welcome to the Ham. It’s nice, only remember if you run for Canada should a Clinton be elected Steven Harper will likely still be Prime Minister.
PS No income tax, Boundary Bay Beer, local whiskey, bike lanes, the Bells, the Vikings, the Orcas, only place the Cascades touch the sound, ect. No, I’m not a native.
Carl spews:
@4, Thanks. Fixed.
