    The Republican primary polling isn’t definitive by any stretch. The difficulty of polling presidential primaries is legendary. And some of these are undoubtedly very weak polls.

    But the trend they demonstrate is unmistakable.
    Trump has launched his campaign and begun to roll into the more frequent, and aggressive style of event in which he excels. His profile among voters has skyrocketed on news about his various legal/criminal perils. And he’s begun to come out landing massive blows on Fat Midget hitting him hard for supporting cuts to Social Security and Medicare. And Fat Midget has remained mute, impotent, and mostly invisible, at least within TrumpWorld.

    Trump is proving to be very successful in reminding Republican voters that he’s still here, definitely running, and that he has a well proven track record as being a great campaigner and very, very electable. There can be no doubt that Trump will go into the convention with relatively high unfavorables. That’s just who he is. But he will also go into the convention with a million times more name recognition, a proven record of “pwning Libs”, a record of political accomplishments unmatched by his primary opponents, and in all likelihood twice as many pledged delegates as the nearest competitor.

    Biden’s biggest challenge, an enthusiasm gap among key demographics in swings, is going to be solved by Republicans themselves when they nominate the admitted rapist-bigot for a third time.

    I really don’t think a Trump indictment from the NY County DA will be coming down until he’s been able to have all of the witnesses and relevant rebuttal testify on the record to the grand jury. Bragg would be wise to get all their testimony on record and under oath before leading them into a criminal court to face the boss.

    Spent a couple of days with a sib in FL last week. She’s a type I diabetic, since her early ‘teens. That’s 50+ years of insulin dependence. She’s on a pump made by Medtronic. I received a mini-education on the pumps made by different manufacturers and their pros and cons. She’s moving to a different pump very soon. The Medtronic pump wakes her up at night to tell her that her glucose level is dropping. That’s apparently a bad thing when it’s still in the 50 range, because she’s asymptomatic at that point. Medtronic’s perspective is that it doesn’t want to wait until the glucose level is so low that the patient can’t function to correct it. I’ve seen her scary-low when it’s a dash to the fridge for the orange juice, which happens more often than we would like.

    First World Problems. I’m underwater on Medtronic with my latest purchase but up a little overall. Basically, way too much money in a stock that won’t go anywhere any time soon. Not as bad as Pfizer. And certainly not the clusterfuck that GE was to Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit.

    But yes, a loser. Shareholder lawsuits and the like. Right now it’s a hold for me because I don’t see it falling further, and I have no other use for the money.

    Medtronic has helped keep my sister, a poorly-controlled type I diabetic, alive for more than half of a century. If my share ownership has provided it working capital while coming at some personal cost, my wealth advantage allows me to absorb that, Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit.
