ACAB wants you – no, needs you – to believe that it’s the horse and its rider exhibiting dangerous behavior in this 6-second video.

Oh look, you spent some time finding a 9 year old video.

Good job. Can you find Rodney King too. That’s at least borderline analogous.

    @3

    Stop snitchin’

The police approached Waymo, an Alphabet Inc. company, with a court-approved warrant for hours of footage captured by the vehicles, and the company complied.

One of the big issues with privacy and data protection, not related to the current LA situation, is Alphabet and Amazon and Apple have vast amounts of facial recognition data. Since Waymo vehicles are constantly recording it isn’t just theoretically possible it is a fact that Alphabet can track you and every one of your movements and interactions with others. With more Waymos comes more complete surveillance.

What is the concern of a Theil/Palantir massive citizen tracking system synchronizing ALL of the data from government and commercially collected sources on every citizen? I’ll give you a hint, it’s not simply hatred of the current administration. Though the fact he and those around him think it’s a reasonable thing to build is a problem.

I know, big ethical questions are beyond your scope of understanding.

I know, big ethical questions are beyond your scope of understanding.

Which might have to do with the fact that I didn’t ask one, nor attempt to answer one.

But since you brought it up, is it unethical for a Tesla in a public space to record a citizen in the process of vandalizing it? Or is consent presumed since everyone by now is aware that Teslas have plenty of cameras, and those cameras are recording whether or not the vehicle is in use?

No but it is unethical for a Tesla to record anyone that comes within four feet of it (they do), the conversations of owners and passengers (they do) and the physical locations and movements of sold vehicles (They do) especially when disclosure is buried in a 80,000 word terms of service agreement that is regularly altered and emailed with no opt-out to current owners users.

    Evergreen Railfan haz a sad.

Trump’s Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy Releases Report Exposing No Viable Path Forward for California’s High-Speed Rail Boondoggle

Given CHSRA’s past performance, including substantial change orders, numerous contractor delay claims, protracted third-party arrangements, failure to account adequately for project risk, and lack of a credible plan to close the $7 billion funding gap, CHSRA is not likely to complete the Early Operating Segment (EOS) by 2033. In executing the FSP Agreement and reobligating the FY10 Agreement, FRA relied on CHSRA’s representations, which were included as commitments in the funding agreements, that CHSRA would deliver the EOS by 2033.

To secure substantial Federal funding, CHSRA represented that it could connect major metropolitan cities in California, but can now only deliver a system that is reduced substantially and delayed significantly, which may connect two random endpoints.

As such, CHSRA’s inability to deliver the EOS by 2033 renders the CHSR Project inconsistent with the goals of the HSIPR Program and constitutes a Project Material Change under the FSP Agreement. These findings support a conclusion that CHSRA is in default under the FSP Agreement and the CHSR Project no longer effectuates the goals of the funding programs, which may give rise to an action under the funding agreements, which could include termination.

The arrival of a line of Waymos is very easily interpreted as an attempt to put facial recognition technology in close proximity of Peaceful protesters for the purposes of sharing with law enforcement.

If the vehicles weren’t well known for doing such a thing…

Stand your ground….castle doctrine…4th Amendment. All these issues can be raised in defense if Alphabet proceeds with legal action if/when they find the persons responsible. Was it reasonable to believe these driverless vehicles represented a threat to safety? (A driverless Waymo vehicle struck a cyclist in San Francisco, Feb. 2024) These are the ethical issues.

OnePay is rolling out two options: a general purpose credit card that can be used anywhere Mastercard
is accepted and a store card that will only allow Walmart purchases.

Customers whose credit profiles don’t allow them to qualify for the general purpose card will be offered the store card, according to a person with knowledge of the program who declined to be identified speaking ahead of the product’s launch.

The bad news is the Dumbfuck Rabbit family still can’t afford to get to a Walmart.

It’s almost like you intentionally only look at the truncated google result.

CBS News poll: Over half of Americans approve of President Trump’s deportation program

But exactly half approve of his immigration policies as a whole and half disapprove.

And well over half, no plurality needed, disapprove of the man himself.

And well over half, no plurality needed. know that his economic policies are absolute shit.

Keep fucking that one data point until you climax. BTW, it’s only a matter of time now that an ICE ‘office’r, you know the guys required by law passed with bipartisan support, vetoed and overridden in the waning days of the first Trump regime to display identifying badges and officer ID at all times, kill a citizen. Or kill an ‘illegal’ on camera for the crime of checking in with an asylum hearing.

Did that video of the little boy screaming and crying and being carried off while mom got jackbooted come out before or after this poll was in the field. Google it. But be sure to actually click through and read the full headline.
