Monday Open Thread

This story on the strippers bill of rights is very interesting. It seems like the legislature may have to revisit some things. The worst excesses of strippers losing money on a shift are over, but strip club owners seem like pieces of shit.

Maybe some sort of collective ownership that cuts them out is a way to go in the future? I don’t know, that’s not helpful in the here and now.

It’s not about Beyonce and Bruce.

It’s about hoping you won’t notice the House bill raises taxes on the lowest earners 74% and slipped in a provision to limit federal courts from enjoining Executive Orders.

Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit need not be concerned that the Moody’s downgrade will harm his pitifully small investment portfolio any more than he has damaged it himself. As of this writing the DJIA is down all of 0.08%.

    The horror.

Not content with having razed Rafa completely Israeli Occupying Forces have ordered the complete evacuation of Khan Younis in preparation for an ‘unprecedented attack.’

That there’s no where left for the civilians to go and no food aid arriving due to IOF blockades is no matter.

Genocide takes no notice of these trivial matters.

Translation, Go Ahead Vlad and try to take the whole thing. All you have to do is refuse peace talks.

Vance, if Russia is not ready for dialogue to establish peace with Ukraine, then “eventually, the US has to say this is not our war.”

    They’re terrified of a TikTokker:

Why were the Black Panthers popular in Oakland? Short answer, they distributed food to poor families.

Kat Abughazaleh (House candidate IL-09) spent the weekend cleaning a Lake Michigan beach with a hundred or so supporters who showed for a meet-up and then collecting materials donations for a ‘little free supply library’ of toilet paper, diapers, feminine hygiene products and toothpaste to be distributed no questions asked by dropping by the campaign office.

If y’all don’t want to be called Gestapo maybe don’t roll around concealing your faces (eds note, you are taxpayer funded public servants just to head off the ‘black block’ whaddabout) grabbing whoever you can including citizens and legal green card
holders and sorting it out later.

Then maybe, just maybe, stop getting caught lying in court about what you did and being forced to turn over video of ‘resisting arrest’ aka sitting calmly at a table and answering questions.

And maybe get a judicial warrant occasionally.

Then stop making up percentages about ‘assaults on ICE’ because it never happened AND we all know getting lightly bumped into by a handcuffed person is what you snowflakes report as assault

The EnergyStar program, where electronics are labeled with the cost of powering for an average amount of use per year has helped consumers save billions of dollars over the last 2.5 decades on electricity bills AND made manufacturers (the market) lower consumption of devices to be as attractive to consumers as competitors.

So of COURSE DogeY and the GOP budgets wants to zero out the mere $38m to run the program. Miriam Adelson needs the tax cut. Just her. Just her personal TRUMP tax cut would pay for it to continue.

@1 you are correct, otherwise I’d love to see him go through with it and put them in jail, it would be a great move on his part.
