– This was written before the pause (to 35%), but tariffs are still a problem.

– More Redmond light rail.

– Come on REI. Do better.

– I still don’t know who I’m voting for for City Attorney, but the Hacks and Wonks interviews with all of the challenges make me glad they’re running.

    Elections have consequences.

The White House said the energy budget proposal cancels more than $15 billion in carbon capture and renewable energy funding from the bipartisan infrastructure law that former President Joe Biden, a Democrat, signed in 2021. It also proposes to cancel $6 billion from that law for EV chargers.

“The Biden Administration spent more than three years implementing these programs, but built only a small number of chargers because it prioritized over-regulating and ‘climate justice’ goals,” the White House said. “EV chargers should be built just like gas stations: with private sector resources disciplined by market forces.”

Let TSLA install them, let TSLA profit from them.

As libbies wail over the DJT47 interest in a Qatari plane, recall that Elon Musk’s SpaceX had to rescue our astronauts when Boeing couldn’t.

DJT47 is looking elsewhere for Air Force One replacements because Boeing has failed miserably on that project as well.

Boeing is awful. Unsurprisingly, Robinhood Dumbfuck Rabbit is a (miniscule) Boeing investor.

Biden’s last year in office really sucked.

This benchmark adjusts 12 months of jobs data to make them as accurate as possible and always covers a period from March of one year to March in the following year. In early 2025, the BLS published the annual benchmark figures for the period from March 2023 through March 2024. The result: a staggering drop of 598,000 nonfarm payrolls.

In other words, the monthly reports had overestimated the number of jobs during those 12 months and were revised down by nearly 600,000. That’s on top of the individual monthly reports already being revised down throughout the year-long period in question.

And the downward revisions to Biden-era jobs data are set to continue. From March through June of last year, the economy supposedly added 398,000 nonfarm payrolls, according to the monthly job reports, yet the BED data show a net loss of 163,000 private-sector jobs for that period.

Instead of adding almost 800,000 jobs during the middle of last year, the economy likely shed more than 160,000 of them.

Say, do you think it’s possible that Donald Trump’s resounding victory was not all Boxcheck Momala’s fault?

Well this is all perfectly normal.

Capitol Police are currently in a standoff with DOGEy brownshirts who are attempting to get access to the copyright office.

Issues, Executive has no Authority over the office or Library of Congress though the librarian of Congress is an executive appointment that has up to now been uncontroversial. DOGEy/Donnie tried to fire the head of the Copyright office.

    1. DOGE is under a court irder NOT to fire anyone.
    2. The Executive branch has no jurisdiction over the copyright office

Capitol Police are under the Legislative Branch and as of this morning they are protecting a department of the Legislative Branch from staff of Executive.

And what exactly is the aim here for Douche er Doge
? the purpose of the copyright office is to accept works assign the copyright and file it so that anyone who owns a work can file suit for appropriation of that work. Oh now I get it AI has scrubbed every bit of information on the web most of it copyrighted and paid for none of it so they’re trying to get rid of that evidence.

Liberals told us tariffs are a tax, and ol’ Joe told us paying taxes is patriotic.

    Economy
Tariff receipts topped $16 billion in April, a record that helped cut the budget deficit

If a Democrat president had done this he’d be the biggest patriot of all.
