With these accounts they were able to implement automated background processes that uploaded and stored everything, all the account data and activity from the 6th through Saturday’s end of Parler’s existence. And this includes verified user account data.
Parler and their uses found the “blue check” system on Twitter to be “elitist”. So they helpfully implemented a way for anybody to be verified as a real person (not a bot). All they had to do was upload front and back images of their drivers license. Which the FBI now has. Along with the threats to assassinate the Vice President and the photos of the giant shit the user took.

Can’t fail to mention, in her video Sherrill talks about helping Jayapal down the stairs as they fled to safety from the advancing Republican death squads.
I think she’s making a point here that the media are often reluctant to make in the case of Democrats. Democrats in both chambers find themselves unusually unified in the aftermath of the attack. Sherrill is a leader of the Moderate and Blue Dog caucuses. Jayapal is well to the left. They disagree on a lot of legislative issues and priorities. But they came together to respond to the Republican war against democracy and support each other in saving the republic.
While this disgraceful episode has fractured the Republican Party and set it at war with itself, it has brought Democrats and even Libertardians together in unity to put down the insurrection, preserve the republic, and hold the GOP accountable. The media are normally predisposed to report on conflict among liberals and unity among “conservatives”. And to some extent this is no exception. There’s a lot of pretending going on here, and certainly so on the “conservative” side where they still insist that there was election fraud.
It’s only now that the media are settled around labeling that a lie and fact checking it at every instance. But they will probably continue to go along with the lie that Republicans are “working together” even as Trump prepares to recruit and finance primary challengers to the leadership and sends armed mobs to their homes where their spouses and children sleep.
GOP is at war with itself with no clear end in sight. While Democrats for now are solidly unified around purging Trump and the Republican insurrectionists and giving President Biden all the support he needs to clean up these Republican messes.
