I’m deep in code monkey mode today, so I don’t expect to do much writing unless something really strikes my fancy… though that doesn’t mean my co-bloggers won’t fill in the gap. Just thought you should know.
What! No posting on the day the federal government officially admitted they expect to see $4-a-gallon gas this summer?!! I remember back a few months B.B. (Before Bush) when it was 99 cents … we sure are prospering under Wingnut Economics, aren’t we?!!
Roger, we certainly are prospering if our names are ExxonMobil or ChevronTexaco.

Well, one thing Bush accomplished is that gas now costs more than milk. On some days, anyway. Wallpaper is getting cheap, though. BTW, who was that paperhanger who got a big career boost from government policies that made money cheaper than wallpaper?

@2 Oh, I’m doing all right with NOV and NE … I made $500 in the stock market this morning while taking a shit. It just amazes me how little respect our society has for honest work, and how much it worships a screwy economic ideology. I’m not against it, you understand, it’s just that the disrepect for, and devaluation of, work seems self-destructive to me. At some point, a lot of people will decide to hell with it and stay home and flip stocks instead of commuting to a real job, and then nothing will get done and nothing will be produced and the economy will go to zero.

Can I put in a plea again for not forcing the curser to the bottom of the page after it loads? I like to see the most recent post first.

@ 5 Laurel, I’m not getting it.
Personally, for me the most ‘recent post’ is at the bottom & always has been. I’m in FireFox, if that’s the difference. Think I would prefer the Top business with cursor staying topside too, instead of scratching around the bottom. Maybe we have options (if anybody knows, I would appreciate the info).
