Of course, kicking Republicans is just sport. A mere sideshow. It’s not what voting for Democrats is about. We vote Democratic because America isn’t a level playing field. We vote Democratic because working people can’t survive let alone better themselves when they have to pay 3 times the tax rates enjoyed by the rich. We vote Democratic because people who work hard and play by the rules shouldn’t have to do without housing, health care, education — or food. We vote Democratic because a job it not a privilege but a necessity for most of us. We vote Democratic because Democrats care about us. It’s that simple. It’s understandable that America’s upper class — the richest 1% — votes for their own selfish interests. Why anyone else would vote Republican is a fucking mystery.
