The latest installment of Podcasting Liberally is now available for your listening pleasure… or whatever emotion you feel when listening to a bunch of lubricated, Seattle liberals talk politics.
Joining me this week is Carl, Mollie, Will, N in Seattle, and former Stranger reporter Sandeep Kaushik (apparently, the only one amongst us who can afford a full name.) Listen in as we talk about the Oscars, Seattle’s tunnel vision, and the Bush administration’s forward thinking initiative to threaten journalists with execution. We also calmly and cogently answer the question posed by Will’s Republican friends: why are Republicans so rational and logical, while us Democrats are rely so much on emotion? (Short answer: “Fuck you.”)
Yossarian spews:

==================================
Well, THAT was an intelligent comment!
Janet S spews:
Why would anyone want to attend this evening who disagreed with you? A contrarian voice would be ridiculed, personally attacked, and probably slimed with sexUal innuendo. Or, just another day on the comments sections.
But at least you all will have fun congratulating yourselves on how smart you all are.
Dr. Quest and Race spews:
The “*!#* you!” comment was meant to be ironic. But since Janet S. and Yossarian are Republican x-treme righties who are presumably conversant with using dispassionate facts to make up their minds, I am still waiting for an answer on why righties think it is significant that Tom DeLay won his primary race with 64% of the voters and do not mention that he won all his other primaries since 1984 with at least 80% of the vote?
What dispassionate conclusions do you come to with this bit of information?
Goldy spews:
Yossarian… um, it’s a joke, that in short rejects the premise to begin with. Listen to the podcast and you’ll get a fuller answer.
And by the way, it was good meeting you last night. I hope you and your friends can report back to your fellow travelers that us liberals seem to be normal, friendly people, who just happen to disagree with you guys on politics.
Libertarian spews:
Goldy,
One of these days I’ll have to go to DL and listen. Should be interesting.
Robert spews:
“Republicans so rational and logical” – Thanks for the morning chuckle.
For the Clueless spews:
We never see this Yossarian character until a DL thread comes along and the comments aren’t all that intelligent. In fact he seems to be offended that people who offend his ideology are getting together to talk and a have a good time.
Now he crashes the DL party. Sweet!
liberalgirlnextdoor spews:
Thanks for letting me join in the podcast again, it was great fun. I hate to be a horses ass, but my named is spelled Mollie. And I second your short answer to Will’s friend!
Hayduke spews:
Heller and his hero were anti-war/anti-militarism. “Yossarian” is a curious pseudonym for a supporter of the current administration.
Libertarian spews:
“Hayduke” – Is that from “The Monkeywrench Gang?” (Can’t remember the author, but the book was good.)
Hayduke spews:
The late, great Edward Abbey.
Goldy spews:
Ooops… sorry “Mollie.” Fixed it.
Geni spews:
Republicans “rational” and “logical”? In what parallel universe would that be? Which Republican (I’m presuming we’re talking singular here) would that be? I haven’t had the pleasure of encountering that one.
Cougar spews:
shhhhh, quiet everyone……has Goldy’s new system gotten rid of JCH…..or did his mother change his password on her computer?
Mr. Cynical spews:
Cougar–
That annoying sound you hear is the sound of your very own noggin rattlin’ around in your very own ass.
