I wish we had more Democrats actually talking about why they did what they did and how totally fucked this country would be had they not passed TARP.

No shit. TARP kept us from another Depression, yet Ds are running away from it. Patty’s not, though. She has no excuses to make, and she doesn’t make any.

This ad is perfect. It’s exactly right and there is so much to clean up.

@8 – What Dems are running away from is literally EVERYTHING passed during the Obama/Pelosi/Reid regime. Stimulus = total failure, Obamacare = trillion dollar economy killer. You won’t find a single mention of these thousand page failures in a single democrat ad this election cycle.

@10, Honestly, what democrat wants to claim that repub and corporate crippled Health Care bill. It satisfied nobody. It was better than nothing, but it was not good. I do fault the democrats for being weak and thinking the republicans would compromise and work with them for the good of the country. And they are paying the price right now.

@11 – Amazing that you try to blame repubs and corp American for a crappy bill that was 100% democrat written and received only democrat votes. Dems hold majorities in both House and Senate. Whey do they need Republican support for anything? The Health Care bill was so bad, Pelosi even had to let some Dems vote against it.

VERY good political ad. Humor, direct, to the point, and above all, accurate.
It’s funny how the Republicans could run the country into the toilet and then point fingers at the adults (Democrats) who then have to clean up their mess. If the Republicans could stop spending MORE and cutting taxes at the same time (yes, the voluntary Iraq war counts as “spending” since our tax dollars had to pay for it) then the Democrats wouldn’t have to come along and act like grown ups and say “kids, you have to PAY for the stuff you bought and put on the credit card, so we have to raise your taxes. Otherwise, if you don’t raise your taxes, you CAN’T have a fun voluntary war, or bigger military, or Homeland Security, or bridge to nowhere.” If you want stuff, you have to pay for it. It takes grown ups to know that.

Republicans dreamed up the core features of the bill, although it happened before last year so no Republican can seem to remember they did it. What passed was essentially the Bob Dole, Mitt Romney health care plan like the one they have in Massachusetts. If the Democratic party held a vote internally this is not the bill that would have emerged.
Basically what Democrats want is Medicare for all. It’s simple, easy to sell and it would work. But that’s not what the Compromiser in Chief wanted.

It figures you’d love an ad that features dog s**t as its key feature.

Hehehe…
That’s freaking awesome.

Yep. Dog shit, a good metaphor for what Republicans leave behind.
BTW whose dream is Rossi referring to with the “Help preserve the dream ad”? His own pipe dream of getting elected?
