by Goldy — Sunday, 10/5/08, 10:24 am

Damn, John McCain looks angry.  (And, is it just me, or is he putting on a little weight?)

Here is Sen. John McCain criticizing the Clinton administration after the US embassy bombings:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) stressed the importance of a strong U.S. role in foreign affairs, and criticized the administration for ignoring problems other than bin Laden, including Iraq dragging its feet on arms inspections, “North Korea building nuclear weapons,” a stalled Mideast peace process, and “thousands of people being ethnically cleansed in Kosovo.

    “

This administration for the last seven months has neglected compelling national security threats besides this,” said McCain, a member of the Armed Services Committee. “I cannot say that they’ve been neglected because of Monica Lewinsky, but I can say unequivocally that they have been neglected.”

Even then, McCain was focused on a bogus problem in Iraq and not on bin laden. He does not have the judgement to be commander in chief. Look at his pick of Palin: not enough vetting, picking the wrong person for political purposes and then lying and trying to defend her lies.

this goes to the heart of McCain’s judgement – poor. In a time of crisis in the financial markets McCain was all over the place. First, three days before total collapse he parroted the Bush administration that the fundamentals were sound. then he panicked, and wanted to fire the SEC chair (who cannot be fired). then he calimed the crisis was so big – the he, McCain, would come to Washington, suspend his campaign and fix things. right after that the bipartisan meeting with the presidnet went downhill and the house republicans bolted from McCain and Bush’s compromise. Meanwhile, he really did not suspend his campaign – it was all a publicity stunt.

McCain is just not prepared to be president. Even his campaing organization is poor. He has the judgement of Bush and the orgnization of….well, no organization.

The McCain campaign is having a meltdown and everyone knows it. The old man is now reduced to hoping he can turn things around by yelling at his staff and running smear ads against Obama. The clueless old goat doesn’t realize his fundamental problem is that he’s never given voters a reason to vote for him.

Too bad Obama did not run on the economy in the beginning – and let’s hope he brings the brightest and best to DC – other – same old crowd will fart all over his administration and do little.

Confirmed Dem, who thinks Congress, all shades of politics, is shitty and as much the problems and the shitty Rs at the White House..

BY THE WAY – people out of work pay little taxes to DC , and that will be a problem. Clinton got people to work and the Treasury gushed, yes, as we all know, the Federal govt. runs on income taxes from the masses of blue collar to upper class workers. The little people pay the bills …. gross unemployment will shrink the cash flow a lot to DC.

(Gregoire sounds really good in the debate in Yakima, just saw a re broadcast. So much better than in the past … guys, grab your nuts and say a little ode to the fates – ladies do about the same, somehow Chris just might squeeze it out)

I’m very concerned about Rossi winning. The big question I often hear is “where’s the Gregoire’s campaign?” The perception among supporters of hers that I know is that her campaign has been entirely too low key. I’ve also heard complaints about sloppy organization in her campaign, e.g., someone forgetting to order signs in time for a major union event.

Goldy, I hope you’ll ask some questions . . . and light a fire under the campaign. I’d also encourage you to focus more attention on this race than national politics; too many people have been distracted. That could translate into a loss that we all will deeply regret.

@9: I agree. We cannot let an incompetent right wingnut in the pay of the BIAW in the governors seat in Washington state. Rossi has no clue about state priorities and no ability to write a real budget. This state will go back in time 10-20 years if Rossi is elected.
