Roger Rabbit Commentary: GOP tax “reform” works this way, too. Look! It’s magic! Giving tax breaks to the rich increases revenues and reduces deficits!

Of course, just as many others who communicate with YLB seem to experience, it was quite awhile before it became apparent to me that YLB is not a woman.
I think it was because YLB had to tell me.

@2 They could be using the theory that horse leeches are good medicine and all the poor need. Politicians are funny that way. Until all those daughters call out, then the phone line, mail box, e-mail, town halls are full, isn’t democracy wonderful. IN the old days the King could hide in the palace from all those daughters. Except for the Jewish Princesses.

Well Tim Eyman is back in the news. A return to his hits of yore. A new car tab initiative. Back to $30 could be popular with some folks in some counties on the Puget Sound.
11
Elijah Dominic McDotcomspews:
Isn’t it true that of 15 different measures Eyman proposed for the 2017 fall vote, not one single Eyman initiative qualified for the ballot this year?
Did Washington Costco shoppers finally have enough of petition peddlers and con artists?

Mark Adamsspews:
Last Sunday or Monday I asked RR his part in institutional racism when he allegedly worked at the Seattle prosecutors office or the King county prosecutors office. I do not know if he responded or not. I will be checking. In the past week though the Washington State Supreme Court made a ruling.
While RR probably played no part in this case he may have in other cases or did he strike blows for social justice, or was e a typical prosecutor where the win justifies the means. Or was he even a trial attorney? Or an attorney at all.

@10 “Back to $30 could be popular with some folks in some counties on the Puget Sound.”
It will get an 80% “yes” vote, then the courts will throw it out, because Eyman is incapable of writing a constitutional initiative even when he isn’t impairing bond obligations.
There is, however, a slim sliver of hope. The Washington Supreme Court screwed the bondholders in the notorious WPPSS case based on its conclusion the issuers lacked authority to issue the bonds in the first place. To win on this ground, Eyman and his supporters would have to convince the court that Sound Transit exceeded its authority by issuing bonds to build ST3.

I didn’t see that, but for the record, I was never employed by either the King County Prosecuting Attorney or the Seattle Municipal Attorney, and no complaint of racism was ever filed against me. However, I cross the street if I see a group of College Republicans approaching me. Here in Seattle, CRs have an unsavory history of preying on senior citizens.
I truly fear that the worst thing we are going to learn in all this is that the Obama White House had a pretty good idea what was going on and did absolutely nothing to stop it.
It’s probably true that intervention on the part of the administration to prevent this betrayal compromising our national security would have set off some kind of violent Hillbilly uprising. But let’s all just face it: that’s where this is all heading anyway. The difference is that by standing aside and letting them place Vladimir Putin in control of the White House, Obama’s folks gave the traitors a good four years to wreck things.
One way or another, we are going to have to go to war with these people – all 60 million of them. They are bent on betraying our national security, selling out our sovereignty, and wrecking the country, if that’s what it takes for them to get a billionaire tax cut. It’s no longer important to try to figure out why. I know it’s pretty devastating to face it. But the other major political party in America has set itself on a course bent on treason. American patriots have an obligation to themselves and to our history.
It is not possible to fund government to the level at which it wishes to be funded. There simply is not enough wealth in the world to satisfy government’s insatiable desires.
