When the Second Amendment becomes a license to kill innocent people, it’s time to think about repealing the Second Amendment.
If Republicans don’t want the Second Amendment to go away, they’d better start agreeing to reasonable restrictions on guns.

@7 And a Democrat used to be someone who was all over the first line of the amendment, and now wants to ignore the first line. That militia stuff which means people owning guns should have military style guns, all others being toys. And nothing is stopping the state from organizing local militias to protect our schools from all this rampant gun violence, that statistically is not all that rampant. Do something useful RR and organize your school districts militia. Fully use the 2nd amendment in a way that fosters discussion and pushes back on Republican’s power point presentations. And should the Zombie apocalypse happen that will be a bonus feather in your cap.
@8 It is not a license to kill. If the killer has not already saved the state the expense. He will be caught, tried, likely found guilty, and executed. Same as if he had done the killings with a knife or samurai sword.
I think there is a better course of action than outlawing guns since that does not begin to get to the roots of violence. A lot of violence is rooted in testosterone. We should consider outlawing this substance. Or put many men, a majority of men or all men and some women on some kind of regimen where the government controls their level of testosterone, to create a more gentle and loving society.
There is nothing in the constitution forbidding this. Could even pass the Democratic legislature of California, or a democratic Congress. Still might be some constitutional issues. I’ll let RR split hares on that.
