Using biblical prophecy defeats the tenants of science when it comes to global warming. It’s us human beings who are or are not influencing the weather by adding CO2 to the atmosphere. It has nothing to do with god and CO2 in and of itself is neither good or evil, and actually is an essential element that makes life possible on this small rocky world. By going back to this dogma though you just give power to those who want to say it’s all in Gods hands and it’s God who brining Irma to us. Meaning we have no control and no dog in this fight. We can do nothing, so it’s ok to do nothing. Not to be concerned. Did the petroleum and coal industries pay Goldie to use this particular verse today? As it only helps their industry.
Also one must include all the prophecy and that includes the preceding and following passages.
Actual just the phrase great whirlwind from all the coasts of the Earth show what poppy cock this passage is. The coasts of modern day Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Cypress are pretty normal today. It’s only a coast in the NEW World being affected by a very strong weather event. Not all the coasts of the New world even. We are in the new world, and clearly not part of Jeremiah’s world.
In addition in todays world we actually do have representative democracy rather than all those Kings mentioned by Jeremiah. And there is Islam that now controls many of those areas of the world that Jeremiah mentions. And Christianity is pretty popular as well. He did not predict any of these things, Therefore his prophecy is wrong, and if wrong all of it is mute and not true. Jeremiah is no more a prophet than you and I or Bill Nye the Science Guy.

@3 Well good for them. I’m sure they will get to enjoy some big steaks later today in Houston and some Texas hospitality as best as Houston can manage. Goad I didn’t have to sit through the sermon, but for a Texas BBQ afterward I can manage.

@1 I’m sure we can as it’s a bright sunny late summer day here in Bellingham, The Hawks are playing in Greenbay. Doing the laundry, and then dishes. A Boundary Bay beer sounds good. Life is pretty good. Glad I’m not in Tampa. Though this fall or winter someone in Tampa will get to think glad I’m not in Seattle. (Ok ok Bellingham probably is not on their radar.)
Happy as a sleepy cat in the sun.

I think it is time for the NFL to take one for the team. North Korea clearly deserves an NFL team. They have clearly mastered pro wrestling without any wrestlers, As an atomic power they should have the opportunity to have a team. It’s clearly what the North Koreans want. So lets give them a chance in the NFL or basketball if they prefer. And Kim can be a true owner.

It is clearly time for a Love In. Some weekend in October rather than football we all need to engage in a love in. Ok you don’t have to tune in for the Pres and Ivanka doing their part in the love in, and yes this does mean Democrats reaching out in a loving manner and making love to Republicans, KKK members, progressives and other deplorable. Make love not war. It will be a fun weekend. Do it with a smile and nothing else on!

@4 “Using biblical prophecy…”
That is all the goat herders had back then. Science, what the heck was that? The meek needed a way to understand what the heck was going on, hence the stories and made up “all powerful being.”
Wasn’t Jeremiah a bullfrog?
