When Shelah was thirty, he had a son named Eber. Shelah had more children and died at the age of four hundred thirty-three.
When Eber was thirty-four, he had a son named Peleg. Eber had more children and died at the age of four hundred sixty-four.
When Peleg was thirty, he had a son named Reu. Peleg had more children and died at the age of two hundred thirty-nine.

When Serug was thirty, he had a son named Nahor. Serug had more children and died at the age of two hundred thirty.
When Nahor was twenty-nine, he had a son named Terah. Nahor had more children and died at the age of one hundred forty-eight.

Did they have medicare? But what this brings to mind is time. Did you ever think about time? Time is relative. We measure it in the movement of our planet. An infinitely small rock, circling an infinitely small star in a particle of space. And our species has been around, in relative terms, for a blink. We just came down from the trees. Our exaggerated brains have cooked up all manner of tales, myths and superstitions to entertain, control and beguile us. Let us awake! It’s time.

After all everything came from the space of a single atom. No god required, and it’s hard to wrap ones head around that. Or even of a black hole which contains all the mass of a star hundreds of times the size of the Earth yet it lost the fight to gravity. Now all that mass is in a very small space well actually it’s not even that anymore.
Biology, anthropology doesn’t show any evidence that any prehistoric man or woman lived more than what we are now, in fact most lived far fewer years with women getting the short end of the stick because of the risks of childbirth.
While it may be possible to have a long life or at least a high quality life up until a hopefully fast degenerative end. Perhaps growing new bodies for ourselves is possible. Though there is some debate whether the human brain can cope with a live more than a hundred and fifty. Maybe you can fill it up to the point where you can’t put more information in without removing some. Though it’s pretty amazing with more connections in it than the stars in our galaxy. Only now can we appreciate it’s complexity. Pretty freaking amazing and it’s true and can be verified which is more than the above passages of Genesis. Which one would not find outside of a small sects libraries and perhaps the great library of Alexander up until the first century.
