Ezekiel 23:8
She did not give up the prostitution she began in Egypt, when during her youth men slept with her, caressed her virgin bosom and poured out their lust on her.
A little choking along with lust never hurts anyone.

I don’t understand how something so evil and destructive as prostitution could be so popular and thrive for so long to modern times. You would think that evil wouldn’t be so popular with our Republican politicians that proclaim to be so righteous. Sounds like 6000 years of being failures.
Deport all prostitutes !

I was thinking about prostitution. Many times actually. I like to extrapolate our human behaviors back over our millions of years as humans. Females trading sex for food and shelter sounds like reasonable survival behaviors for them and their babies. Over millions of years means it’s clearly instinct. We waste a lot of time, money and lives enforcing a phony morality. But if you believe the earth is only six thousand years old, you can’t possibly understand what being human really means. And a shameful number of people do.

Did she give good service?
Actually the passages aren’t about prostitution at all, but what was the state of international politics, and gods poor understanding or willingness to get involved in ways that defy logic.

@2 Of course this is one of the biblical passages that those same politicians use to say prostitution is so bad.
At the same time they claim capitalism shines supreme in the realm. Yet women or men involved in the sex trade are spoken ill of when clearly they are wholeheartedly capitalists. Often they are a whole lot more honest. And there was that Jesus guy hanging out with Prostitutes and Harlots and suggesting they can get into heaven more easily than a rich man if they believe in him.
