Luke 19:29-34
As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
They replied, “The Lord needs it.”

Was thievery a crucifying offense? In modern times hand severing still goes on in those parts.
There’s an allegory here somewhere. ‘We thought he was a suspect in a petty burglary and we felt threatened so now he’s dead.”
Our local trolls would back the authorities and say he deserved to die and why worship a criminal.

A Bronze Age version of Fox News or Washington Examiner could have saved a lot of trouble by making sure everyone knows Jesus was a dark skinned Hippie with a long history of criminal behavior who hated his country and didn’t put his hand over his heart when the Romans sang hymns.

The Lord needs it, indeed.

Yep, that one is still on the books for Muslims.

Does the 10 commandments apply to the elite?
Oh, when the President does it, that means that it is not illegal. Interview with David Frost (May 19, 1977) (video); printed in The New York Times (May 20, 1977), p. A16; also in “Nixon’s Views on Presidential Power: Excerpts from an Interview with David Frost”, referring to the Huston Plan and views of presidential authority
If the lord needs a horse and takes it, then it’s not stealing. And if the owners allowed them to take it then it’s not stealing. I know a great deal of ink has been spilled arguing if the disciples stole the colt or not, with apologists stating it was not stolen, yet nothing in the verse states it was stolen. Still the assumption that the colt was in deed being stolen by many is a dubious one. Also it would have been the disciples who would have been punished, not Jesus. Maybe they were, and being little people in the cast this never made it into the book. Would good men have told Jesus no? Some have told God no. Which is the basis of all the great moments in the Old Testament.

@1 Amen to that. At least Drumpf isn’t one of those pig-fucking hypocrites who goes to church every Sunday, makes humble for an hour, then Monday morning he’s back to pillaging and looting.

Thats right, the Trumph doesn’t go to Church at all.

@9 @10 So did the church bells ring for thee?
All Presidential candidates go to a bunch of different churches, synagogues, ect. A few may even make it to a Mosque, a chuch of the Goddess, a Wicca celebration done sky clad. Well maybe not this election year as none of these churches have many members, and are kinda like 3rd parties.
