HA Bible Study

by Goldy — Sunday, 3/31/13, 6:00 am

Genesis 6:1-4
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

To me, this passage suggests the “Sons of God” we’re possibly extra-terrestrials who interbred with humans. Maybe that’s why Jews say they are God’s chosen people?? Chosen to combine their DNA with inter-galactic travelers, perhaps??

So, these “Sons of God”, they were, like, long before Jesus, right? So, they were what, God’s first family? Before He got the hots for Mary, or whatever? And what about that whole “only begotten son” thing? Only one from his second litter? It’s pretty messed up. The Bible gives me a headache.

Roger Rabbit Commentary: Thank the Great Mother Rabbit Spirit it wasn’t the Keystone XL on top of the Ogalalla Aquifer! We don’t need the Keystone pipeline, because railroads can haul the oil just as well, are already built, and I own stock in the railroads.

Sorry to get to this so late today. Easter is a bit of a problem around here what with you people being resurrected.

So, here is the truth …

Your ancestors were at first few. The genetic changes I made were rare events … what you call miracles … and had nothing to do with how you looked.

These changes gave you the “fruit of knowledge.”

So it came to pass that the first of you had a need to procreate. You chose amongst the others, those without the gift. Man and non man, were you, woman and non woman were you.

The eight limbed metamorphosis that passes your genes on, di8d as I willed and .. for better or worse … humans inherited the Earth.

    I am what am.

Except railroads won’t work in this case. All that oil is destined for China anyway, none is going to be sold in the US.

@15 Depends on what oil you’re talking about. Your comment and link fixate on Canada. The fracking boom is producing large amounts of domestic oil, which goes to domestic refineries, and most of it is destined for domestic consumption. Existing pipelines can’t handle it all, so railroads are picking up the slack. Building pipelines is about economics, not capacity; we have enough pipeline + rail capacity for both U.S. and Canadian oil, but rail transportation costs twice as much. For Canada, this magnifies the problem that their oil is lower quality, and therefore worth less to begin with, and high transportation costs make it even less competitive and further lower the price they can get for it. They need Keystone much more than we do, to the point where not building it would strain U.S.-Canada relations, certainly not to a breaking point but it’s a big issue for them. In fact, the main rationale for building Keystone is keeping Canada happy. But existing rail lines can move their oil — and ours — to where it needs to go. Oil freight isn’t yet a major percentage of U.S. rail freight, but it’s growing, and it’s helping to offset reduced coal volumes. The railroads will do fine and I just bought a RR stock in a couple months ago and I’m shopping for another one.
